It's utterly sweet and tragic how they cared for each other so much so as to lie and tell non-truths and protect and fight for each other. And how the net sum of those best intentions was overwhelming tragedy and the most violent break in their friendship imaginable. They're both good people, and my one wish for the plot of Geass is that they reconcile by the end. I don't even particularly care if one or both of them die. Just be friends again, guys! ;____;
