Cosplaying is painful. XD But it is not about looking good! The required things for cosplaying are a)love for anime/manga/game, b)being an attention whore and c)lacking any resemblance of shame! >P
I think it'd actually hurt less to have someone bumb on your bound chest than on normal boobs. The binding itself kinda squishes your boobs as flat as they can go. I actually did take (low quality) comparison photos (http://wind.gogglelove.net/junk/bindercomparison.jpg) of the look.
