You pretty much said what I wanted to say but was too lazy to type up. HAHAHA.
I actually believe that Rolo does doubt Lelouch. If he really, truly trusted Lelouch, he wouldn't have had the need to do what he did in episode 7, or repeatedly ask Lelouch if he'd keep his promise in episode 8. I think he's lightened up a little since then, but then he went and killed Shirley on the grounds that she remembered. I believe she even told Rolo that she wanted to help them, but as soon as she said Nunnally's name... I think he perceived Shirley as a threat to his way of life that he wanted to protect and he took care of it the only way he knew how. It's really depressing, because I know that wasn't Shirley's intention at all.
Hence why I feel even more sorry for him. Lelouch was definitely planning to off him either way, maybe Sunrise just made him kill Shirley so Lelouch is more justified in doing so. /conspiracy theory
