I think Rolo died at birth and was turned into a zombie. No one really dies in Geass. At the end, everyone is going to come back to life in a zombie army lead by Lelouch. But anyway. Rolo died, came back to life due to magical V.V powers. And then he decided he wanted to get back at his mother for smothering him on accident and SHOTTED EVERYONE WOOHOO!
