It was already noticed a while ago when OP v1.1 was first aired - and her appearance was slightly discussed along with Diethard's and Laksharta's. It's not exactly fresh news but I guess nobody ever made any big noise about it...since she's a pretty minor character, as hinted by her standing in the background...

As for her role...well, one could always wonder whether will have her cooperate with Zero or if she has some hidden trauma/drama that will compel her to help the Black Knights.
