The Code Geass business goes something like this: -An immortal imparts the "Geass" power to person A, a new User, -Geass power grows stronger until the User is powerful enough to kill the Giver -The Giver imparts the "Code" -->User recieves "Code" and becomes a Giver -Rinse and repeat
In short, "Code Geass" stands for a cycle of power: "Code"-->"Geass"-->"Code"-->"Geass"-->..... Repeat ad infinitum. Sort of like "death and rebirth."
