Anya and Nunnally

So, I've read those new spoilers/theories from the Korean Blog that seem to come true and have come to the conclusion that...there are some coincidences that probably have nothing to do with anything in Geass but weird me out anyway.

For all that have read the spoilers, we all know that the ones that recently came out state that the true Nunnally is Anya and the Nunnally Lelouch has come to love is in fact a spy from Charlie.

At first I thought it could not possibly be true. Nunnally, not the true "Nunnally"? That was a big shock to me, especially since the Korean Blog spoilers will 95% come true it seems. Then, I decided to think about it a little bit and have come up with a weird coincidence. Before that, let me say what led up to those thoughts.

When Suzaku called Nunnally to see if Lelouch was really Zero, I thought it was weird that Nunnally didn't really protest or think about why Lelouch was faking not to know her. When I heard V.V. tell Charlie that "Lelouch has even lied to Nunnally" I immediately thought: Lied, when? He didn't exactly LIE to her and how the heck would V.V. know that Lelouch didn't tell Nunnally the whole truth. Even though V.V. "kidnapped" Nunnally (and thus they know each other to an extent), I doubt that Nunnally would tell him something completely irrelevant to him about a disowned prince. How else would V.V. know that Lelouch "lied" to her? Unless I'm missing something about this scene, this is what my conclusion came to be: V.V., Charlie, and Nunnally all are into the whole grand scheme of things. Another thing that fueled this thought was when I heard people saying that Charlie has said that Nunnally is part of his "plan".

So how would Anya come into this? Well, if it's true that Anya is Lelouch's sister, there is a lot of evidence. Her familiarity with the Europa and Mariannes home. Plus, actually seeming to know/remember young Lelouch and have a picture of him. Also, her resemblance to Marianne is a little too close for comfort.

However, the thing that kind of triggered me into thinking that Anya is really the princes Nunnally is her name: Anya. Anya is the Russian version of the name Anna, which is the same name that Anna Anderson has in the cartoon movie (gosh, and I love it so much) Anastasia. Anya lost all her memories of being the Grand Duchess Anastasia and little by little recovered them until she realized, and her grandmother and Dimitri, that she really was the Princess she was trying to impersonate. I don't know why it hit me so hard that Anya and Anya both have many similarities. I kind of doubt that the writers would do something as weird as this, but it's still something to think about. So, is Anya really the princess Nunnally and Charlie has erased her memories and little by little she is recovering them like the Anya Anastasia?

Other things to also think about: Does Nunnally love Lelouch after all this time with him? If so, why would she "stay close to Charles" 'till the end if she does love him?

Of course, the "spoilers" could be wrong and I'm totally off the mark, which I'm pretty sure I am. I just thought this would be an interesting discussion; The whole Anya/Anya coincidence.

another spoiler i hear about is that anya was nunnally's knight at one point. but given her age now and how long ago it would have been, idk. though something did strike me as odd in the new ed.

this (http://moe.imouto.org/post/show/29836/clamp-code_geass-nunnally_lamperouge). the pink/red cape looks an awful lot like anya's, no? maybe it's a coincidence or something else, but i couldn't help but notice. no one else seemed to have pointed that out so i figure it must be me looking too much into things.

at any rate, i hope they do reveal who anya really is before this whole thing ends :( r-randomly i'm REEEALLY hoping Monica makes an appearance sooner or later.

Wow, I don't think anyone has noticed that. I haven't. I have noticed that in the first picture with C.C. and Lelouch, while the screen is half black, they seem to have water/tears all over them but haven't had the courage to say it in this comm XD

And yeah, Anya was/is Nunnallys Knight in the novels. She also takes care of Nunnally's safety in the anime. I thought about saying this but I didn't really know how to put it correctly.

Actually...I just thought of something. Marianne has both the names Anna and Maria which would be like a mix of Anastasia and her sister Maria. WAT? I'm thinking too much nao Dx

I read that... Would make me sad if it was true, but it would be an interesting twist, anyway.
First I thought that Anya was some clone of Marianne, but I think her to be Lelouch's sister is better, and even more likely. Or even, be the 'real' Nunnally.
Another thing I think is worth mentioning in the subject...o.o If I'm not mistaken, Anya's birthday is one day after Nunnally's birthday. Maybe I'm thinking too much here, but it may be a hint? o.o;;
I just hope that if Nunnally is a spy, that she cares at least a little about Lelouch. x-x; Specially since he has done too much for her.

I thought I was the only one thinking about that movie when Anya showed up. (Is Don Bluth fanwhore)
I speculated a lot and looked into that Anya was likely to be the real sister of Lelouch, but I hit a wall when there are no pictures for confirmation.

"Offical info" seems to vary a lot. Like with Anya's and Gino's names, etc. Sometimes it's hard to see which one is true or not...XD Maybe they changed the birthday like they did with Schneizel? :3

I've always thought Anya was related to Lelouch, but I've never would have guessed her to be the true Nunnally. So, did she dye her hair pink? This is one major twist for the series. Lelouch is going to have a heart attack. Hehe.

I've also asked my self the hair question. But then I saw that weird colored hair actually runs in the Britannia family (Cornelia, Euphie...) so I figured it wasn't really dyed XD But it might be?

Either way, it doesn't stop how Nunnally looks like Charlie. I'm also a little miffed at how Rolo also looks like Nuna and Charlie.

For some reason I really want this to be true. I think it would only add to the amazing story of Geass if Nunnally wasn't really his sister and it would explain why they were so willing to stick Rollo in if there was a spy there.

The idea is just really intriguing (even if what I said makes no sense, cause my brain isn't working properly at the moment).

To be honest, I wouldn't be surprised. Plus, with CLAMP's fetish for the theme of eyes, there's also the possibility of Nunnally having a geass herself. FINAL BOSS, Y/N?

And also with Charlie's ability to rearrange and manipulate memory, yeah, I can see Lelouch believing Nunnally.

Though for your point about "lying" to Nunnally... I always interpreted that as lying to her about being Zero. You know, not telling her anything and such.

Yes...but...the way V.V. said it was like if it was a recent development. Since he was surprised that Lelouch was Zero again, he couldn't have really meant for it to be before the phone conversation. So the only thing I could put it with was the whole phone convo where Lelouch could have told Nunnally that he was Zero but didn't (or when Lelouch tried to kidnap Nunnally). Or am I understanding wrong? Dx

I'm assuming you gathered this from the 1997 animated film? The animated film was not true to history. Unless you're saying that they're copying a slight plot from the 1997 animated film Anastasia. If you're referring to the movie (and not actual history) then I feel like an ass even though I'm not trying to be one. :o

However, it would make since. Lelouch said that he wasn't the kid in the picture Anya was showing him even though he was. That would definitely count as a lie.

Perhaps Rolo knows something? He gets all touchy when people bring up Nunnally... it's possible he knows something?

But why pink hair? That's all I wanna know...

THAT would be a hell of a twist but a horrible truth. To think everything Lelouch has done is for the sake of her sister, and for that sister to be fake? The poor guy would be traumated forever.

And I can't help but wonder, if after all of that time has Nunally develop feelings for Lelouch? I mean she's been with him for a long time, there's bound to be some silbing love, unless she's another geass assassain like Rolo, but even he fell to Lulu's charms ♥

Some part of me wants it to be true because that's an awesome shocker, but we'll see. It seems Sunrise is going to end this show with a lot of WTFs.

I think it further supports the growth theory. :x

It's like, the emperor plants nunally beside lelouch so that there is an aim for him to want to achieve - the ideal world for his sister to live. Which stimulates his growth and prepares him for the britannia throne.

Kinda like spiral (anybody read that?) where the closest person to the main character is actually somebody placed beside him to act as a pillar of support, encouraging his growth.

Yes, I know it's not real history. Actually, they've found the remains of the Imperial family that were missing recently. I'm also not saying that they copied from the movie just that it's a really weird coincidence and I couldn't help but think about the movie when the name Anya comes up. That's why I said it's very unlikely =) And no offense taken. Who knows, maybe they did copy a bit of the plot? I don't know what Sunrise thinks XD

About Rolo...I also couldn't help but notice that the 2nd batch at Koshimizu's lj (which sounded very fake), said that Nunnally and Rolo are actually siblings. It some how plays well with the new Korean Blog spoilers so I don't know what to think...Dx

And the pink hair...I doubt it will ever be explained, along with 95% of Geass.

Holy crap, this is a wicked awesome theory and some part of me, deep down, wants to see it through. They keep making the shit hit the fan for Lulu, why not add yet another thing? They've screwed up every chance for him to finally reconcile with Suzaku, Shirley died, CC is kind of regressed, Kallen is being held captive [and they for some reason keep hinting her to switch sides or something], Older Brother is being a pretty good opponent, they need to pull something else with Nunnally.

Though, a friend and I had thought that in true wtf fashion, Nunnally would die and then Lulu would go even more batshit. I'm not sure which would be worse for him; the death of his sister or realizing the sister he's loved for so long is actually a fake - but would that really matter to him? He might still love her even if she isn't real... unless she tries to pull some bitch move o-o;
