Yup, it's up to clamp to create non mary sue characters, and especially angsty ones... I don't like Sakura or Syaoran though, they need a reality check too. Which is part of the reason why I wish TRC main character could've been Kamui... or characters that are like him.
But the thing is clamp didn't create the Code Geass characters. They were told about the characters' personalities and their issues and clamp was asked to draw them. (Clamp hates Suzaku and scared of Lelouch's eye by da way)
As much as Shirley seems like an fangirl hated character, I luv her when she gets jealous over Kallen(That's the way her name is spelled btw) and starts whinning, where Mirei? Comes in and jokes on her.
Lelouch, even with his machiavellian tactics and dual personalities, I love him the most.(Evil clamp besei LOL). And Lloyd, because he's mature and cool (on the inside ^^). and I love Kallen the 3rd!
AND I HATE Suzaku, Euphemia, and Nina! The Royal couple of dreamland needs reality check... or disappear from the screen. They're like living in fantasy society of 5yr olds. ....and Nina.... omfg, the last scene of her freaked me out.
Lloyd was actually suppose to be "your average mad(maybe?) scientist". Lloyd's personality was created when the voice actor decided to have fun with his character. *The wailing~ and shreaking.*
