Yeah, I saw the figure on Amiami. I think it's really expensive because of the material used. Instead of usual PVCs for figures (the light hollow kinds which uh, oozes oil when placed in direct sunlight) it's made using some kind of polystone? So I'm guessing it's heavy and hard. I know GSD has those kind of figures for the same price, but I don't own one, so I don't know what they're like.
