Hnnn. I would question the guy a bit if he supposedly used them as pawns- And, hey, there were other moments were the BK began to doubt Zero. He disappeared from them for a long period of time without telling them why (suspicious), even though he returned. And also, he had really strange, selfish wants like finding Nunnally...? I don't think the BK really knew what all that was about.
