The latter half of Season 1 was also considered the period where Geass finally gained it's supposedly excellent storytelling. I have to agree. To me, the latter half of Season 1 was what I loved so much about Geass and what I felt made it such an awesome series. R2, so far, hasn't had the same quality that I felt Season 1 had. This dissapoints me, but I'm definitely not going to stop watching it. xD; I've invested too much energy into this series to not see it through until the end.
My biggest regret is seeing Rolo die off so soon. He definitely was my favorite Geass character, taking the spot that Lelouch had before him. While I did think his death was well handled (shit, the kid took down tons of enemies, both Britannian and Black Knights, with him) and well executed, I wish he could've hung around a little longer. He shall be sorely missed. At least he got reconized by Lelouch (which has redeemed Lelouch a little in my eyes) as he died. T_T
