Rolo's Locket

After watching Turn 19, I was inspired to have Rolo's locket dangling from my cellphone.

The locket was taken from the Rolo figurine of the PPP R2 Vol.1 series. Alas, it's not an 1:1 scale replica but closer to 1:1.47. A chain with spring ring clasps on both ends is impossible to find in stores, so I got together with a friend and did some metalworking to make the said chain. We made the chain to 1:1.47 scale according to the original production sketch (provided by koshimizu  here), so the chain is actually 5cm long instead of the original 7.35cm. We also couldn't figure out how anyone would be able to stretch the chain into necklace length, so we just made an extra long 46cm chain.



Now if I can ever get around to cosplaying Rolo someday... (Then again, he's 5'7" and I'm only 5'1", so I shouldn't push it >_<)

I'm not sure if I'll make more to sell. The PPP figurine boxes are randomly packaged, and I got lucky with the 4th (and final) box that I picked out of the boxset in an Animate store. If I went back and tried to randomly fish for a Rolo again, it might take 1 or 8 tries or something. >_>

My friend has that Rollo figurine too, and she actually uses the locket as a necklace. That, plus this, makes me SO tempted to buy a Rolo just for this locket on the next anime convention here...D:a
