I have no idea, but he's going to be in tough straights if he doesn't have Geass. We'll have to wait until the episode to find out if this is a symbolic "I'm moving out of your apartment kthnxbai" thing or a "Give me back that ring!" thing.
If he retains Geass, then his objections probably centers on A) how Mao really, really pisses him off this time and B) how he's came to trust her (which means a great deal to his type) and after Shirley NOW THIS. If he doesn't, his objections are probably more practical. It's pretty LL/CC anyways, though. She means something to him now, and apparently vice versa, though what that something is is debatable.
