I'm a little taken aback by the reactions to the kiss. I kind of wailed a little when I saw the posted pic but mostly because I went "Oh crap she's gonna die now, isn't she!" Shhhhh. Granted I have no clue what was going on in the ep half the time but I thought that moment was more bittersweet than anything. It came across to me as Kallen achieving some closure re: her feelings towards Zero/Lelouch (either uh what other commenters have said about moving on or my personal theory, her coming to terms with her feelings and not needing or perhaps even desiring for them to be reciprocated and that her goals and loyalties ARE larger than her feelings if that makes any sense) and Lelouch letting her go because he considers that the best thing he could do for her. They music, the way they both said goodbye...
