Seed and Seed Destiny are uhhh special anomalies in the Gundam franchise in that they're written to appeal to a more female audience. I will say Seed was actually a rather fun ride and generally well written. Destiny, on the other hand, was uhhh a train wreck. which I secretly loved because of Shinn Gundam 00 is working off the same idea of providing an outside force for the world to collectively hate enough to stop war.
But even way back with Wing, it's the same plot. Even the original Mobile Suit Gundam had generally the same idea, and while that one was handled well, it took that, Zeta Gundam, and a few of movies to really flesh out everything. So yeah, they're not going to make this plot work, if that is even what they are going for, in 3 eps.
