Anya's entire character is based around the concept of memories, and the ones she doesn't have. It's pretty clear there's a huge chunk of her life that is missing, bigger than the murder, hence why she takes pictures of everything so she won't forget anymore than she already has.
During the battle in turn 23, someone (I forget who exactly) asked Schneizel if Anya was alright, and if he was going to return her memories. And I'd like to see this happen before they kill her off. D:
