1. Serve Zero: I think because Lelouch thought Diethard would react... that way yet refer to him as "Zero" that Schneizel under geass would take note of that and therefore protect "Zero"...? Least that is my opinion on it. (Or also when Lelouch uses the geass sometimes he feels more like... Zero? Fuck it. idk. I just miss Zero.)
