Well, I would swap my Anime collection if I had seen a glimpse of LL in the final scene, or hear his voice confirming what CC said with a even a simple "Ah.."
The talk on lulu becoming immortal revolves around two theories,
The name of the second season, R2... Since Lelouch's name Japanese pronounciation is something like RuRushu, and since the other Code holders have the names CC and VV, R2 is equated with RR, meaning, Lulu gained immortality by either of thse two scenarios:
One: When Lulu killed Charles, he obtained Charles' Code.
-One must kill a Code holder to get their Code for themselves. -And since Charles grabbed Lulu's neck with the one that had the Code, -And to obtain a Code, one's Geass have to spread to both eyes -as we saw before CC got her Code- -One must die before their Code start working. (Though I can't prove this is an absolute condition.) We saw CC covered in blood and sitting on a pool of it. I believe that was her own blood, not the Nun's. And Charles was shot by LL after he took VV's Code, and LL is stabbed with a sword. -Common occurence?-
Yet, at the same time,
-Could one only obtain the Code from the person who gave them their Geass? Or, if any of the code holders is killed, the killer (if they have Geass) could obtain their Code, regardless of from whom they took their Geass? -This dampers the situation a bit.-
These requirements were achieved during that show down between Lulu and his parents...
Two: -which is less plausable- CC gave her own Code to Lulu... When Kallen asks that if she loves Lulu, she clearly says that she wants to put an end to the "accumulation that is called experiences". Could we take it as a death-wish, as a clue that she detests he immortality, or as a wish to end all the happenings since she gave LL Geass? I wonder, her confession that she "still has those feelings, after all" is another indication that she has some feelings for LL? Winning for the sake of whom? Losing with the cost of what? Yet, again I wonder if those feelings were enough to make CC pass her immortality to LL, to save him, even though it also meant turning him into what she tried to escape from...
Had we seen a wind blowing away her bangs long enough for us to catch a sight of her forehead devoid of her Code sigil, I would be happily accepting this theory -who am I kidding, I would party all night-...
The first theory is more plausable... There was some talk about the scene where Lulu placed his hand over Zero's mask, as if holding onto Suzu... Some ppl say that he was showing his Code mark to Suzaku.
That right hand was the one in which Charles' mark had been, too... If a Code obtainer gets their mark in the same place where the mark initially had been in its original holder, this could also be treated as a clue.
Yet, though we could see a part of his palm, Lelouch's hand was blood soaked. And where was VV's mark, again? Did I miss something? Was VV's mark in his hand, too? If not, I guess there is no pattern in the place of the mark.
Hmm, I am only summarising what ı have read in other message boards, so these are not completely my opinions.
But, again I say, how I would be happy to know that LL is somewhere out there alive...
