I haven't heard the dub (not American), but well, it would sound different if a little boy voiced V.V. and if a woman voiced V.V.

And then again, in FMA, Alphonse was voiced by a woman in Japanese and a boy in English, and they both pulled off the role, but their takes on Al were different.

V.V.s voice is awful. And I pretty much like the rest of the dub cast, so I'm surprised they made his voice so earsplitting. Hopefully it will improve.

They screwed it up big time. Personally I think Aaron Dismuke would've fit the bill, but his voice might be a little low for out crazy shota.
So now V.V., Lakshata, and Nunnally are the only ones so far whose voices are just... eugh.

When I watched it last night, my sister and I had to do a double take on his voice because we both were like, 'Terriermon?!' But no, it wasn't. D:
