Hey there, everyone of the lovely Code Geass fandom! I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now. See, I plan to draw (and in the future, print) a LuluSuza doujinshi but there's just one problem right now: I don't know how I should shade it!

There's basically two (three as I'll explain later on) options I can choose. Either I can use a shading style I like to call "greyscale" or I can use screentone. I'm partial to greyscale shading right now, but doujinshi are usually printed with screentone. I'm stuck in the middle and I have no idea what to do!

That's where you guys come in! I'd like to hear some opinions and see what looks better. But if anything, I might even just combine the two techniques or something.

Please help me vote either here or in deviantART and please give me your opinon on which one you prefer!

Option A is greyscale. Option B is screentone

Hmm, I like Option A. Very smooth and nice. Although I have to say that's going to use a lot of ink, xDDDD. But it looked better with option A, xD.

Oh, it's not really going to be a problem with ink. I'll probably just do the pure black shadows with pen then use Photoshop for the rest of it (varying shades of grey in between).

Greyscale looks a lot cleaner, but I think an entire doujinshi of it would look a bit overwhelming. I say use a combination of both as needed.

Hm.... That's true. I might have to tone it down accordingly. But yes, I think it'd be smart to use a combo of screentone and greyscale!

D'you think making making the greys a bit less bold might help soothe the eyes, so to speak? Maybe the ones I used here are too dark.... Well! I'm not really sure, but I guess I'll just have to experiment!
