Rolo - the huggable kind

So I decided to put my sewing skills to the test (albeit, with a lot of help from my mum), to create a Rolo plushie for my friend's birthday. She made me a Cheese-kun, so really, what else could top a present like that?
I had quite a few problems along the way, but I think he turned out pretty good^^

WOW HOW DID U MAKE THE EYES AND THE UNIFORM!? im curious(O_O

eyes: studied the scans of Rolo's face from one of the DVDs, drew them onto tracing paper, revised them about a bazillion times, poked little holes with a pin in all the drawn lines, put the (now hole-y) tracing paper over the fabric and, with a fabric pencil, coloured little dots through the holes onto the fabric, removed the tracing paper and while looking at my sketch, filled in the lines of the eye on the fabric, THEN took 3 strands of embroidery thread and embroidered the whole thing one colour at a time, while constantly referring to the original image scan. The hardest part was getting the second eye to match >_< (I used my other plushies as references as to where the eyes should go on the face)

uniform: I referred to my Yami plushie's uniform and my Suzaku and Lelouch figma a lot for this they were my models. Basically using those I made patterns for the pants, and a couple for the jacket (the front panel held the rest of the jacket together). Getting the gold trim on the jacket was a bitch tho maybe that's cuz my sewing machine is ancient and doesn't work properly anymore The shoes were done completely by my mum, which she originally constructed out of paper and then proceeded to make out of fabric...um the buckle on the uniform belt I actually took from a cat collar XD Other than that it was pretty much trial and error. I hope to have a more solid pattern when I make Jeremiah (this one was a learning experience :P)
