Rolo Cake For Valentine's Day

Possibly the most ridiculous thing that I've made this year so far: A Rolo cake in commemoration of Valentine's Day, dedicated to Lelouch.



It's the first time that I've ever tried to bake a cake from scratch, making a double-layered cake, and attempting to draw something with icing. Since it didn't come out burnt, nor did I destroy the icing, I think I at least did a passable job with it. ^o^

Now the real problem is, where do I start eating it from?

...Actually, I have a feeling that my dormmates are going to smash the face in before I have a chance to dig in (or attempt to preserve it forever in the freezer).







Here's hoping that I'll come up with something fancier next year.
Edit: For anyone else interested in baking a chocolate cake, here's the recipe that I used, though I only made 2/5 of the amount called for and made it a double-layered cake instead of triple-layered. For the different frosting colors, vary the amount of cocoa in the mix. For purple eyes, you may need to get food dye.

so..how did you start eating the cake? if i am in your position, i don't think i can eat it. i would just stare at the cake and adore rollo's face :)

Yes, I spent an entire morning making the cake, so I was famished by the time I finished and I started eating it...from the top. XD

My dormmates found it disconcerting and stabbed out the eyes and mouth. D:

wow. i wonder how it feels to eat a cake with rollo's face. waa..^__________^ i think the cake would taste 200 times better :)
