Did a a shoot at Katsucon last month. Photography courtesy of
ngmaster.
chibi_plum as Kururugi Suzaku. Costumes are based off CLAMP art.
As a warning we more or less took a shounen-ai turn with this shoot and realize that's not for everyone. It also digresses in stylized spoiler-y shots.

Thank you. The costumes were actually not that difficult to make, I just had a serious issue finding fabrics that worked well together since I wanted these to basically look like inverted versions of the other with subtle differences. And every time I found a fabric in one I couldn't find it in the other.
And it's a contact lens, actually. I sprang for the 9mmsfx one.

The chain adds just such a thrilling effect. &hearts

The chains were a lot of fun to work with. When I first decided to make these costumes I insisted that we make use of chains. Our photographer was really way too thrilled to incorporate them into our shots.

Beautiful costumes, and great poses too. <3

My Suzaku was actually in Cornelia Saturday so if you saw me then that would likely be why. I was lazy and only made one costume for myself for Katsucon and decided to wear it all weekend as opposed to dragging out another costume.

Oh the registration line of hell. I preregistered back in December and ended up not bothering with picking up my badge until late Friday night -- we managed to get a badge off of someone who had two. But it was really ridiculous. I am so hoping they've improved that situation by next year.

But other than that, these are actually really pretty pictures. :3 The lighting in some of them are -gasp- breath taking! Srsly. :] DO MOAR?

Yeah, the lens isn't really visible in these shots -- I did another shoot where it's a lot more noticeable. The problem was most photographers noticed the lens and then wanted shots of it so I ended up with a lot of extreme close-ups on my eyes and not that many full body shots.
And thank you. The lighting was really strange outside by the time we shot and was mostly blocked out my the surrounding buildings but what filtered through ended up casting some really nice lighting effects, especially the last shot. Kind of creeped me out how the lighting really made me appear dead. Lol.

LOL. WELL. I think it still looks really good, regardless. :]
