I figure Google's got this answered with the utter lack of information, but I wanted to confirm as I'm not always the best at finding things.

Is there a confirmed release date/general time specified for when R2 will start coming out on DVD in the U.S.? Hopefully this isn't a dumb question - I poked around Bandai's R2 site and didn't find anything on the subject.

Agreed. I'm guessing it's because they're redoing some animation, but I honestly have no idea why.
