i wish, too, but none of CLAMP's storage boxes have ever made it to US releases...not Tsubasa, xxxHolic, X, Code Geass (1st season)...none at all. *boo hoo*

Blue bird symbolises happiness. In Japanese blue bird is written as 青い鳥and I believe I had seen the words for a number of times so as you have noticed, it meant something. Rolo desired for happiness and the song "I will Become a Bird" fits the bill.
