If you could have a geass...

Would you want one? What kind would you like and why? Would you be able to handle the side-effects? Those who paid attention to the anime knows that having a power such as the geass comes with a price. For me, the thought of having people obey my every whim, read other people's minds may seem appealing at first, but if I was really offered such a power, I'm not sure if I would want it because I might be tempted to abuse it or even worse, be driven insane by it. Any opinions?

I don't think I could resist taking it. In some weird way, humans are selfish by nature--we can't help it, it's just how we survive. I believe Geass would be like some form of drug at first. Makes you feel wonderful, in control to the point where you almost can't imagine life without it.
But I think for myself, it would probably make me go insane from it. I don't see how it wouldn't effect ones mind.
Even if you only used it for "good" that's still a lot of power and in some ways it could probably make one into a bit of a narcissist--being able to choose one is "good" or "bad" and all of that.
So regardless of knowing this and thinking it over and over again in my head and knowing that the end would probably make me go insane and even ruin relationships and even my own life as I know it at this point in time.....I'd except Geass in a heart beat. Unfortunately, the human desire to know and experience can't keep me from wanting to obtain such a power.
That is. If it were offered to me.
