Code Geass: Tales of an Alternate Shogunate

I was wondering if you guy know about this new code geas manga, but, not soo new XD. It's just another alternative fandom story with another design, ugly for me. I don't now what you think :s.


It is set in an alternate history in 1853 with new characters. Britannia's Black Ships appear in the harbor of Uraga. Some years later, Lelouch Lamperouge — brother to a young blind girl named Nunnally — is the commander of the military counterinsurgence brigade known as the Shinsengumi, formed under the orders of the Shogunate to fight the Black Revolutionaries, a rebel group led by a mysterious masked individual known as Rei. In fact, these two organizations are one and the same, and they seek to combat in influences of Britannia. Geass is the ability to call upon and summon the armored entities referred to as Knightmares; Lancelot is one such Knightmare. (Source: Wikipedia).

I has only one volume and was serialized the last year, i don't know when, in KeroKero Ace. I don't know who would buy it, definitely NOT me XD, wouldn't you?

My 2 cents worth - I think the manga is drawn horribly. I'd prefer the anime anytime.

Yeaah, i'm shinsegumi, meiji (kenhin lol) and historical japanese fan *0*. but... code geass is code geass xD. If the wanna make a sort of "flashback" when lulu y nunnally met suzaku at kururugi shine ok. 'cause that has to be with the story, right? but.. shinsegumi WTH!!!! Lulu isn't Zero is know Rei, a masked commander of shinsegumi lool!!!

What happen with hijikata, okita, saito lol? hahahahha

Please, if i wanna read this kind of story. As @ [info]abnormal_toast said, i'll choose a fanfic :S. And, sincerrelly, i never read fanfics 'cause i'm psychopathic about original storyline u_u thought, i know there're some goods xD.

Well, Code Geass doesn't really happens in our world even in the anime, so maybe they have "poetic license" to use Shinsengumi's name? Although I swear I'm really disappointed for not having Okita and Saito D:

I'm a bit torn between being amused and shocked by the attempt of mixing two things I'm a fan of =/. But I wouldn't waste my money on it, that's for sure, I would read it only if someone cared to scanlate it (art style and design isn't worth it). Because it DOES sound like a AU fanfic plot.

I always like reading different interpretations of a story. It's fun to see how things could have been different if someone else was in charge of writing.

Oh, I remember hearing about this! I wanted to do check it out to see where it was going, but the art style really doesn't suit me.
