I can only speak for myself, but I've been a fan of Shirley's since the end of the Mao arc in season 1 (I started watching CG a few months before R2 screened in Japan). It's only fairly lately I've dragged my butt out of lurking to actually get an account on LJ. ^^;
Your problem is? Just because, you have a problem with Shirley does not mean that Shirley fans, will not post about the certain above pic. Bitching about nothing, enough?
Oh really? Inquiry for what? Telling us that you still dislike Shirley and how you are the only one admitting that? < --what, what? That is called bitching, it is not inquiry, please. Whatever though.
Ah, are you kidding me? Look at your first comment, and tell me how is this an inquiry. You come to an entry-pic, that does have Shirley, and while everyone else is saying something good, you are all "oh, am i the only one that will still admit this and that". Sorry, but this is not inquiry, it is bitching. Word it better, if that was your original intent, but it certainly did not come across like this.
Ah, and you are welcome? //bad experience? fff, it is just replying to a comment, gee. Do not be dramatic for the sake of being dramatic.
I think the Shirley fangirls really jumped at you for what little you said. I didn't even see your comment as that much of an insult. I'll admit this, I didn't like Shirley until her last episode. I just believed she was the most blandest (and stupidest) love interest for Lelouch to hook up with. Yet, when the show changed to her perspective in that episode, there was a lot of qualities I really liked about her. It was refreshing to see a non-vengeful emotionally driven character make her comments on the events. She really showed her difference in perspective when chatting with Lelouch and Suzaku, the more logical characters. Heck she made all their brooding seem long-winded and childish. And I suppose at the end it was her sincerity for Lelouch (and the similar sincerity he showed) that won me over to the idea 'aaah, so she was his true love.' So pretty much I thought of her like that afterwards, following her death I picked C.C. for the next closest thing for a love interest. She had been my top pick all along, but I guess my entire opinion changed after that one episode. So that's my reasoning for choosing her, but I would have been classified a Shirley hater until that point. If it's any consolation.
