So I was looking at R2, Part 1 on amazon (to make sure the release date hadn't changed again) when I saw that not only were there the two original releases (with Lelouch on the cover), but there were two other R2, Part 1s for sale with Suzaku on the cover. What, if any, are the differences between them, or is it just Bandai trying to make more money with four different releases?

All I can tell is that the Suzaku one won't be released until 10/6...

Maybe the Suzaku one is actually supposed to be Part 2? I dunno, but that seems weird to release part 1 again two months later... xD

the suzaku one says part II on the cover. it's an amazon posting error. you can probably email them to correct it.

I dunno, but Suzaku looks hot on that cover.

Wow, I've never seen that Suzaku cover before! *u* It says Part II on it. Can't wait to get them both! *Squeals*

I think it's meant to be part 2. Although - has anyone heard what's actually in the limited editions this time around?

Apparently, just a volume of the manga is the difference between regular and limited editions for R2 :| They're not so limited this time around. That combined with the lowered episode count makes me want to wait for a season collection.

And ditto to what others have said -- the Suzaku cover is for part II, so it's probably just a typo.

If the Amazon run times are correct, it looks about the same as far as episode count goes.

Run time is incorrect, unfortunately. -- those who have gotten part I of R2 have noted that there are only 7 episodes (instead of 9) on it, and, though I don't know if this second part is confirmed (the article I linked doesn't bring it up), word is that there may be 4 parts instead of 3, with episodes spread out 7/6/6/6. Whoops, I didn't close the link field ^^;; Anyway, here's a link to another article which confirms the 7/6/6/6 release schedule: Link to Mania/AnimeonDVD article (http://www.mania.com/code-geass-r2-release-update_article_116962.html)

As someone who bought the SEs of the first season, I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in Bandai right now.

Hear, hear.

And I'm having bad feelings about the release of R2 in general. Bandai seemed to get sloppy on the last volume of the first season, the most glaring issue being the omission of the epilogue from the last episode...

AFAIK, the last episode of the 1st season had a different ED which was followed by a monologue by C.C. On the North American disc, you have to dig through the extras to find this, and it's only subbed.
