R2 Ichiban Kuji Set

Haven't seen this posted yet and I thought some people would be interested.

Seems like Banpresto's giving Code Geass another Ichiban Kuji Premium treatment. They're calling it "Romantic Variation". I can't find a release date other than 2010, which is a big duh. Also, Ichiban Kuji is a lottery event, so if any of the merchandise interests you, you might want to save your holiday money for these!

C.C. and Kallen get some nice and fancy figures, which I guess makes this the "Romantic Variation".
There's also a sketch of C.C.'s dress looks like, I think it's pretty cute. But I have no idea what Kallen's doing.

Can't really tell what the other items are, except for that clock.


They're making another set of those small figures like before.
This time we have Emporer Lelouch, Anya, child Rolo, lolita C.C, and Zero (with a sword, hmm). And there's a secret figure. Any guesses?




Shirley gets a figure too! And it looks great. Though, this isn't part of Ichiban Kuji and I believe she's a mail-in special.

 Geass is back in everyone's minds, and more and more new things are coming out. Oh boy.

You're probably thinking about the Garage Kit which was released in 2007. This is the first time this Shirley figure is getting the PVC treatment!

Yeah, this Shirley figurine is a garage kit previously only available at events. It's going to be sold as a mail-in limited edition special for the February and March issues of HobbyJapan magazine, but still as a garage kit.

Judging by the extra concept art, Kallen and C.C. are going to be cast-off? Banpresto did a good job with the previous Ichiban C.C. so I can only imagine they will do a great job with the two. Hopefully I can find one of them for a decent price at a second-hand shop once they are released. For regular purchase, I've only ever seen the Ichiban Kuji items being sold as a complete lot. Not sure if I can spare that expense but we'll see once we're given the colored prototypes. :) Neither Kallen or C.C. are particularly my favorite characters, but these look too promising to pass up.

That Shirley figure is indeed going to be a Hobby Japan exclusive. I think she has a sweet face, but I don't think she'll be on my get list.

It's a part of a new brand from Ichiban Kuji, "O.D.C." (Original Designer Concept) to celebrate the 1-year anniversary of the first Code Geass Ichiban Kuji release. As the name suggests, the new figurines are based straight off sketches by Kimura. More details about Ichiban Kuji Geass RV will be coming in January 2010.
