When I was reading the official website for credits and I read this:

キャラクターデザイン原案: CLAMP

Which means the original character designs are by CLAMP. But since then read in several places that it was originally produced/created by CLAMP, so I'm confused.

My Japanese isn't that great (maybe I missed something?), so I ask for comfirmation: What is CLAMP's part in this series? Are they related to the manga? I had believed the anime came before the manga, am I mistaken?

It's weird when several sources all say different things, though I don't see where anything official says these things. -_o

I'm inclinded to believe the official website, and that some fan websites and such are mistaken.

Thank you for any comfirmation ahead of time.

No no, I do know there is manga. And novels if i'm correct.

My answer was there is no PREVIOUS existing Code geass manga, novels or any work related with Code Geass. It's original work was first produced by Sunrise Entertainment. Then they collaborated and brought manga and novels into existence.

oh. okies. lol.

All i was saying was, Clamp did not make a manga which turned into anime. You were just pointing out other areas where Clamp did something for Code Geass.

I was a bit confused haha.
