There's some new work announcement in this month's Newtype Ace magazine and maybe another announcement in next month's magazine.

Sounds like a new manga, but there seems to be Akito teasers.
More info at [houani's blog]. Any help with translating the info would be appreciated.
ANN has translated some info. It is just teasers for now.

Newtype Ace specifically serializes manga of anime (like Blood-C and T&B), and it does say a new CG manga will start serialization in that magazine. I can't read all the stuff on the other pictures, but I guess it's a manga version of Akito? Hopefully someone with better kanji skills will translate the rest soon.

What it says:
“Quick Announcement: Code Geass‘ new project starts!
KMF Variation
The chance to customize the popular aircrafts has arrived!
We have decided to serialize ‘Komikaraizu’* in this magazine!!”
The screenshot on the right:
“In this broken world, we have a dream…”
And it says “Reira” (Leila) in the box over the girl’s head. Everything else is too small for me to read. Same with the other more text heavy screenshot.
The comments on that blog you linked to are mostly confused as to what this exactly is and if Akito and this here are two different things. Most complain about the lack of information.
*Not sure what this is supposed to mean. Comic colorize?

ANN is also reporting now that there will be a manga version of Akito as well, so I think there's two manga here, one for the KMF Variations project and one for Code Geass Gaiden: Bōkoku no Akito.

My opinion is that as long as at least part of the new content is good or, better yet, superior to the original despite the differences...I don't see that as a bad thing.
Yes, some of it will be trash or not interesting, but quite a few Gundam side stories or spin-offs have improved upon the formula. The same thing can happen here. Milking is not automatically a bad thing.

But anyway who's to even say what's "good" and what's "bad"? I think Naruto, one of the most popular animes, is absolute garbage while Digimon, which was never popular, is my favorite anime. It's all a matter of opinion in the end.
