Because sometimes this stuff gets confusing, here's what timezoneconverter.com says:
22:30:00 Thursday January 12, 2012 in Asia/Tokyo converts to
05:30:00 Thursday January 12, 2012 in America/Los_Angeles

Further East in the USA: If you're in Mountain, it's 6:30; if you're in Central, it's 7:30; if you're in Eastern, it's 8:30.

Hopefully somebody will keep a recording and put it on Youtube because I'd really rather not get up at 5am.
