A very random observation and very wild speculations.
Okay, so I was tinkering a little bit with the official Geass website. Wanted to look at all the pretty merchandise. And by chance looked again at the characters relationship tree thingy. Now, I noticed something very fishy. ~Tudum tudum.... cue in Sherlock Holmes BGM~
Lookie here.
And notice, now squint and really look at the people whose faces are blurred and stamped with big japanese characters which means killed. Well, that's the translation that Excite is giving me. The three people that are said to be killed are Clovis, Mao and Cuelle (dunno if this is the right spelling, let's just call him Orange-rebel). If we recall, and I know all of us who watched up to the latest episode still remember the shocking events that made our minds numb for a while, those three are not the only ones who are no longer with the living.
BAM! Two people have stamp-less faces. Euphie and more importantly Marianne! Aren't they supposed to be dead?. Now, that gives me a bit reason (valid or not) to believe that they might not be dead after all. That there might be something, I dunno but some crazy future plot hole that will make them come 'alive' again.
That, or someone's getting lazy and not updating the damn site. Heh...

I got about halfway through before I figured I ought to use Mwu's mask, but it wouldn't fit over her head anyways.

Randomly, anyone else realize that Marianne's probably been viewing Lulu's shenanigans all this time through C.C. TV?

So beware - mistakes and delays are to be expected.
However, for the characters, there is still a lot of mystery shrouding them. And from what spoiler people have said on 2chan, it doesn't seem like the top brass (Okouchi, Taniguchi) aren't actually telling everything to the rest of the staff, including the seiyuus, so we're a bit on an uneven field here. For example, when commenting on Kallen's brother, Taniguchi seems awfully vague on his current status, much to the surprise of the seiyuus, who went all 'eeeh?' Instead, he stated that 'he could be dead or alive, nobody knows'. For such an unimportant character, he sure seemed worth that little notice.
But as for Marianne, Fake Okouchi, the confirmed 2chan spoiler man (speculated to be the real Okouchi for obvious reasons, but nevertheless confirmed to be a member of the CG-LotR staff), was confronted with a similar question:
(copied and pasted from GameFAQs and translated by Celiss Galvea)
Q: (Why is Marianne not listed as "dead" on the official site's character relation chart?)
A: I'm pretty certain she's dead.
So the question remains - however, one character can very well be active in a series while not necessarily being alive. She could very well be in the Spirit World/World of C while conversing with medium-like C.C....

Euphie is more of a 98% chance because I'm an insane idiot.
And I know that Orange-rebel guy is dead.He was blown up in the Narita battle.
Clovis is dead as a rusty doornail.
I believe the site doesn't update often because neither V.V. nor Schneizel are on the list.
Realistically,I think Marianne is a spirit, destined to look over her son to make sure he chooses a good girl and he won't think of doing anything too mature for his age to a girl.No seriously, that's my perception of Marianne's role...

And uh,who the heck is that guy below Clovis's picture?
If it's someone we already know that let me just say I am as ignorant as hell.
I'm just a curious freak.
