You know, I miss my weekly analysis of episodes so I decided to apply my same combination of fangirling and introspection to the Drama CD or at least the serious files.

Here's a translation collection of all the episodes contained in the CD, as acquired through GameFAQs.

Young Lelouch needs hugs. I can't say how much I love bastard!young Suzaku. It's like their personalties are completely flipped, only that Lelouch had more snark to him as a child. Just a little. The bit with Toudou and not really wanting to fight struck me, but I guess he's just a take things as they come kind of guy. Hearing the hatred Suzaku had for Britannians, it amazes me that even the death of his father could have caused the total persona reversal he went through. Buriki? I like and will have to use later. So Suzaku dislikes the weak yet inevitably becomes their defender. Or does he? Suzaku sides with Britannia, clearly the strong, under the hopes of making it a better place. Whereas the underdog, the rebels, continue to be viewed as a threat and in the way of peace. Lelouch remains the underdog king. Looks like things haven't changed so much after the years after all. I also find it ironic that they both wish to take vengeance against those how bully the weak. Lelouch's self-hate is another thing that always remains in the back of my mind, but it's scary to know it started at such a young age. He must really despise himself for not being able to save his mother or Nunnally. Suzaku, proud as they come, cannot understand such feelings. I get the feeling Lelouch was really bored when he was still a prince, seeing as he wants nothing more than to fend for himself once he's sent to Japan. Too bad he sucks at it. Those punks called him a girl. Jerks.

The file with CC, Suzaku and Lelouch was also surprising, more because of Lelouch's snappy attitude toward Suzaku. We rarely see him lord over Suzaku in the series, although we get hints of it in the DVD extras. And Suzaku just takes it with a smile. I think, in part, though some of Lelouch's fire had to do with Suzaku interrupting Zero so he was already on edge. We see him wind down some after they reminisce and Suzaku continues to be stupidly forgiving. I love their snappiness about their childhood codes; it reminds me of the playground match in the Rebellion manga. Oh hell, Lelouch was such a bully to CC in this. She's going to make him sleep under the bed from now on. I think instead of kicking the bed, she should have kicked him when he was mouthing off about her. They really are an adorable pair. I also like when she's noting his hatred of losing and comparing it with his family. Ouch, CC. As with all Geass serious fluff, the file ends with a bang, with CC forcing Lelouch to question again whether he can continue his vengeance if someone he cares about stands in his way. His determination in this file is quickly disproven by his actions in the later episodes. Maybe CC should bring up the question again in 24. Let's see if his answer will be any less of a lie this time. Sometimes I think Lelouch answers the way he does to get back at CC's dominating and constantly questioning behavior. I love when she teases him about playing along with Suzaku's notion that she's his girlfriend.

BONUS: Translation of the Kallen/Lelouch part in the Ashford stories. Also from GameFAQs.

LOLL @ C.C. kicking the bed, Lelouch hiding niku manju, his point card, his reaction in Shirley's imagination #2, and the really cheesy laughter that played throughout "dream ticket".

That's my love for the drama cd in a nutshell, i'd write more, but I'm in a hurry 8DDD;;
