Title: Fate/Rendezvous & Trouble
Rating: Uhh...PG-13 for mild swearing?O_____O;;
Word Count: 2,222(we're making progress, aren't we?:DD And all twos!)
Characters: Lulu, Mokona(finally I wrote the name), chibi!Suzaku(flashback), Nanaly & Sayoko, and hints of two characters from another universe
Genre: Humor, Drama(finally something other than crack. This chapter gets a bit serious and more development)
Summary: Some say meetings are precious moments in one's life and often brings hapiness, but to Lelouch, meeting a certain someone in a certain someday only brings trouble. And thus, his organized life is turned upside down.
Disclaimer: I have the power of Crack residing in my left eye and the power of Evilness residing in my right eye, both of them are- wait, wrong place. Neither Code Geass nor TRC belongs to me. If they do, then Lulu would probably be running around with a Death Note and killing off random members of the Royal Family.
Prologue
Stage 1
Stage 2. Feather’s Call
"I'm back."
"Ah! Welcome back, onii-sama. Sayoko-san was just teaching me how to fold a crane."
"Welcome back."
The moment Lelouch entered the living room, he was greeted warmly by his sister, Nanaly. Sayoko was sitting on a chair opposite to Nanaly's, and in between them was a table covered paper boats, flowers, butterflies, and other wondrous little things. Lelouch smiled to himself.
"You've been doing this for days, Nanaly. Do you enjoy it?"
"Yes, onii-sama! Origami is really an amazing thing...here!"
Nanaly held out a paper crane. It was small but well folded.
"This is the first crane I’ve fold...I don't know if it’s good...but I hope onii-sama can accept it as a present from me!"
"Of course I’d accept it, Nanaly. Why wouldn't I accept something from you?"
Lelouch gently lifted the delicate crane from her hands. Nanaly seemed pleased by this.
Nanaly was a girl with a strong will – her inability to see or walk had not made her despair. Instead, she treasured every moment of her life, and enjoyed them at the same time. She never complained about her blindness nor her legs, and just accepted everything as they were, living life to its fullest.
If Lelouch were to say, Nanaly was probably more alive than most of the people without any disabilities.
That's why he always felt a sense of peace when around Nanaly. Her optimistic attitude had managed to influence him, making him temporarily forget about destroying Britannia, getting revenge, or just anything negative in general. And in the moments when he was around Nanaly, he'd feel like a normal person with a normal family. Not some heir to a throne hiding away or a terrorist worrying about his next step.
"Is there something wrong?" Their maid, Sayoko, asked him in a worried tone.
Lelouch didn’t realize how much he was spacing out, and was suddenly brought back to reality by Sayoko's question.
"N-no. I’m fine."
"Oh. Then I'll go and make dinner. Please wait."
Sayoko left for the kitchen.
"Onii-sama..."
"Yes?"
"I think I can feel another presence here..."
Lelouch panicked for a split second, but decided that he had no reasons of keeping Mokona's existence away from her sister, to whom he swore to never tell lies. Before he could even open his mouth, though, another voice interrupted him.
"I am Mokona! Fluffy white Mokona! Nice to meet you~"
Mokona spoke out first. Lelouch felt a bit surprised, this is the first time that Mokona had chosen to talk to somebody else. It pretended to be nothing but a doll around other people, but why to Nanaly...?
"Ah, I’m Nanaly, Lelouch’s little sister. Nice to meet you too, Mokona."
Double surprise. Nanaly didn't even question Mokona's identity. But that's also one of Nanaly's strengths – she never questions much about anything, unless it was absolutely necessary. Like she once said – "Different people have different beliefs and views, but they all have their reasons for their own actions. And if they chose not to tell me, they will have their own reasons, then why should I push any further?"
"Onii-sama? Can you bring Mokona over? I want to feel it."
"Yes, of course."
Lelouch took Mokona off his head and put it in his sister's lap. Nanaly felt it with her fingers.
"So soft...and these ears...could you be a Winter Rabbit?"
"Huh?"
Lelouch has certainly never heard of the term "Winter Rabbit" before.
"Doesn't onii-sama know? Winter Rabbits are rabbits that only appear in Winter, and they are so white one cannot even distinguish them from the snow. They’re said to bring good luck. Sayoko once read to me a book about it."
Aside from her kindness, Nanaly had also kept some of her innocence from childhood and had a good imagination. She likes fantasy books about worlds where mysterious creatures roamed the land and everyone lived in peace. Sayoko always reads them aloud to her.
Winter Rabbits must also be from one of those books. Maybe even the book he spotted lying under the carpet a few days ago. Though why, he never figured out.
"Hah..." Lelouch scratched his head. Sometimes he was confused about the way her sister’s mind works.
"Mokona is Mokona!"
"Ah. Then will Mokona be my friend?" Nanaly asked as she patted Mokona's head. Mokona seems pleased by this.
"Mokona will be your friend!"
Nanaly smiled.
"I'm glad."
-
Lelouch managed to make a 'bed' for Mokona by stuffing towels in a basket. Mokona wasn't interested in its 'bed', though. Only a few minutes after Lelouch climbed into bed, Mokona snuggled up beside him.
"Wha-?"
"Good night, Lulu-chan."
-
Morning.
Lelouch slowly opened his eyes, he reached for his alarm clock. The clock read 8:10.
Classes start at 8:15...which means...I still have five minutes left. Lelouch thought rather sleepily.
Five minutes.
Five minutes.
To get dressed, cleaned up, eat breakfast, and then rush off to school.
Impossible.
That thought immediately woke his sleepy mind up. He got up from bed, hurriedly put on his uniform, grabbed his suitcase, threw a still sleeping Mokona on his head and rushed out. Taking a piece of bread from the table – which was probably prepared by Sayoko, he rushed out of the door.
It was freezing outside, even though it's already mid-February. Today was probably one of the colder mornings. A gust of wind blew past him.
Lelouch heard a faint sneeze, and –upon realizing the sneeze had came from above- knew that
Mokona was finally awake.
Lelouch sprinted past the gardens that led to the school gates, and across the bridge leading to the school grounds. And at the same time making sure that Mokona didn't fall off his head. It would be a bother if it did.
He was nearing the main school gates now – and two minutes remained. He might make it. No – he will make it. Having self-confidence was a good thing, indeed.
Today is Thursday...so that means my first class is History. And that's on the second floor.
He was now inside the main school buildings and quite sure that he'll make it to his first class without being late. He looked at his watch – 30 seconds remaining.
20...
He was nearing the stairway.
15...
He sprinted up the stairs.
10...
First floor.
5...
Second floor.
4...
He ran past an empty classroom.
3...
In his hurry to get to his classroom, he didn't noticed a girl carrying a stack of papers walking by. He nearly bumped into her.
2...
After a rushed apology, he continued on his way. He was reaching his classroom now.
1...
He tore open the door. He had made it.
Before he could even gasp for breath, though, he felt that something was very wrong.
Nobody was in the classroom.
Huh?
But...isn't the first class supposed to be history for every Thursday?
Suddenly, he remembered.
Yesterday, during Physics, Mr. TreatYaBad had made an announcement at the end of the class concerning the history teacher's absence. He had said that "due to personal issues, Mrs. Spencer will be absent tomorrow, and I'll be gladly taking over her class. You're all having Physics for the first class tomorrow."
The science lab was on the fifth floor.
Not to mention the fact that Mr. TreatYaBad probably wouldn't be very happy with him for being late for two days in a row.
Oh no.
"Lulu-chan, what's wrong?"
"..."
-
As he walked along the corridors, Lelouch wondered why these things seem to happen so often these days, before, he rarely got up late, and couldn't have possibly rushed to the wrong classroom.
Then again, why didn't he see anyone in the living room this morning? Even though Nanaly might've already gone to school, Sayoko should at least be there. But he didn't see anyone.
And feeling the weight of Mokona on his head, he wondered again why he didn't just leave it at home.
Lelouch sighed. It seems his life is getting out of order.
It was break time right now, and he didn't know what to do. Except for walking along the corridors, that is. Somehow, he didn't feel like chatting to Rival or any other classmate.
Unfortunate for him, Lady Luck wasn't on his side.
"Hey~ Lelouch~!"
From the corner of his eye, Lelouch saw Rival literally bouncing towards him.
"What're you thinking about? Don't tell me..." Rival lowered his voice. "It's about Karen Stadtfield..."
"Of course not."
Ever since the day that Rival saw him staring at Karen Stadtfield, he had been teasing Lelouch non-stop. And it's already been a week after the incident.
Rival smirked. "Aha...is that so? But I would understand...after the lecture you recieved this morning. Thinking about girls is a nice distraction, you know. Just admit it-"
"Get outta the way, you Eleven!"
"Ungh..."
In front of them, a group of Britannians stood around a Japanese sprawled across the floor.
"Don't get in our way, Eleven, you better know your place."
"I didn-!"
One of the older boys delivered a kick across the cowering Japanese's face. He winced.
"Got a problem with the way we do things? Huh!?"
"Wahh...that’s so mean. Even if he’s an Eleven, they shouldn't treat him like that!" Rival muttered under his breath.
Lelouch remained silent. The current situation reminded him of something that happened nearly 6 years ago. The scene replayed itself in his mind.
2011 a.t.b., December, as Japan was nearing its second year under the control of the Britannia government, the relationship between Britannians and Japanese – Elevens, grew worse.
"Take that! You filthy Eleven!"
"And that! Ha!"
"How many times do we have to tell you that this place belongs to the Britannians?"
A group of teenagers looking no older than 15 were throwing stones at a small Japanese child. The crying child covered his head with his arms, but was unwillingly to give in.
"You were the ones who invaded Japan in the first place! Give our country back to us!"
Lelouch stood behind a tree few feet away, silently observing them. Suzaku, though, rushed out to help the child.
"Stop it! Can't you see that he's only a child?"
"Hmph. Another Eleven? I guess we'll teach you a lesson, too."
Suzaku managed to drive the Britannians away in the end, but he himself was covered with injuries. Lelouch hurried to his side.
"Suzaku, are you okay?" Lelouch asked worriedly.
"I'm totally fine. But this child doesn't seem so well, we should tend to his wounds first. Can you still stand?"
Suzaku was always like this – placing others' needs in front of his own, and valuing the lives of other people more than his life.
At that time, he didn't do anything because he was confused – was it alright for a Britannian to help a Japanese? – and a bit afraid. Although he had said that he will destroy Britannia, he still hadn't made up his mind.
But now, everything is different.
Just behind him, Karen Stadtfield is trembling with anger, she clenched her fists, but forced herself to stay calm. When the insults got worse, though, she couldn't keep it inside anymore.
But before she had any chance to react, Lelouch walked up to the Japanese and helped him to stand up. He could hear Rival gasping behind him.
"Can you still walk? If so, then you better get out of here quickly."
The expression on the Japanese's face greatly resembled that of a goldfish’s. Certainly nobody would expect a Britannian to help a Japanese, his jaw could've dropped to the floor, though, if he knew that Lelouch was the 17th in line to the Britannian Empire, in other words, one third of the world.
The Britannians were outraged.
"Who are you?! And why the hell is a Britannian helping an Eleven!?!?"
Lelouch turned his head to face them.
"Aha. You're probably the freaky weirdo wearing a stupid hat that everyone was talking about. No wonder you'd be helping Elevens. After all, you guys are all a bunch of freaks."
The Britannians burst into laughter.
"You guys..."
They turned their attention to Lelouch again.
"Shut up and get out of my sight. Now." Lelouch ordered them, activating his Geass power.
The onlookers gasped. Rival nearly screamed a "What do you think you're doing" into Lelouch's ear.
Mokona's eyes opened for a split second before going back to its original state.
The Britannians left immediately.
-
"Phew. And I thought I was going to get beaten up by those guys..." Rival exclaimed.
The break was over. They were heading to their next class.
"Lelouch, stop doing these risky things! You almost made my heart stop beating back there."
Risky things...huh? As if you’re not doing them on a daily basis. Lelouch let out a slight chuckle.
"But it was sure lucky that they chose to leave...why though?"
As if anyone would tell him.
"Maybe it's the thing on your head...your 'hat'...that scared them away? I think I saw it open its eyes for a split second. It sure was scary."
"Impossible. Must've been your imagination."
"Hmm...probably, probably not. Who cares? Anyways...for the next class, can I borrow your notes from yesterday? I think I fell asleep for a while during class."
Lelouch laughed.
-
30 minutes away, in Shinjuku. Two silhouettes appeared from the horizon.
"Seems like we've gotten ourselves into big trouble...
Right? Kuropon."
To Be Continued...
Author's Notes: Ha. Ain't I evil. Leaving a cliffhanger(?). But I promise that you'll see all four character from trc in the next chapter.
This chapter took me a little longer than expected. Mainly because I had a fever a few days ago and didn't even feel like watching BLOOD+, much less writing a fic. And how you interpret the way Mokona opened its eyes when Lulu used his Geass power...that's up to you. *smirk*
Oh, and for those who don't like Japanese terms in fanfics - I'm sorry. But I have a soft spot for siblings that call each other by "onii-sama" or "onee-sama", and that's why I've kept the original Japanese term. Please bear with me.
Feedback please(again). And no flames. Maybe I should just call it FPNF.

I still love your story, specially Nanally´s appearence. Btw, I think that Mokona opened his eyes cause the feather is with Lelouch(what other reason can there be...?)
You said you were going to check out the episodes to write the story, right? Because in Episode 5 (spoilers!!) C.C starts living with Lelouch and Suzaku gets transferred to his school (end of spoilers!!)
On another note, your fanfic is know all over. There´s a forum on a site where they were talking about your fic(although they were complaining it wasn´t a SuzakuXLelouch one XD)
Sorry to talk so much,
bye bye

Thanks for the feedback! I was unsure if I charactized Nanaly in the right way...so..thank you. The reason that Mokona opened its eyes, as you said, is because it felt a feather. Your guess is close enough, but not exactly. The whole thing would probably be explained later, when everyone(C.C., Sakura, Syaoran, Fay, Kurogane) have made their appearance.(IF I decided to continue, again)
I've already watched ep 5, but I'll probably insert C.C. and Suzaku later as I'm still not sure about C.C.'s personality, but she will appear.
SERIOUSLY????O______O I thought only a few ppl on LJ know about it. Care to give me the site?(And the author cannot write any pairings without coughing up blood. I've never tried before.)
I don't mind lengthy reviews at all! Thank you.

(this is already linked to the page of the thread where they mention this fic)
...Trust me when I say: a lot of people will MAKE you cough blood if you DON`T do another fanfic with a pairing(preferibly SuzakuXLelouch cause I´m also a fan)besides, you never know until you try and by the time you write it, everyone will be so desperate they won´t notice quality XD

If you want to see the next part, remembers to whack the author twice a day to remind her. She is very forgetful. Being wtf and random and all that.XD;;
And trust me, you wouldn't want to see a yaoi or yuri or just any pairings written by me.XD;; Thanks for the review!
