Hi, minnasan~ It's your resident spammer, here yet again! You must wonder where I find the time. ._.

In light of the comments in this post, I thought it would be nice have something like "Japanese Fandom Made Easy". Therefore, this post. Regular fandom skimmers can just skip over it, there won't be anything you don't know. It's mainly for those who don't know where to start looking.

If you've ever searched Jfen, you're familiar with Site Directories. The fandom equivalent of an annotated phone book, these sites are indispensible to looking around the craziness of J!Fandom. They're easy to use and grows as the fandom does. Two of them are floating around as far as I know.

Lelouch NAVI The site design is pretty complete and covers a multitude of things from a Wiki to an Oekaki BBS. You can also vote for your favourite lines (Lelouch is totally cleaning house, though he's been losing to Suzaku/Lancelot in official Favourite Scenes vote for a few episodes now) As far as the Search Engine goes, it's got a good interface and pretty much cover all fan variants you're likely to want. Start from the leftmost sidebar, you get 'menu' for new sites and rankings and such. From then it's contents---engines, fanlists, cosplays, illust, fics, blogs so on---and then the genre---smut, sweet, serious, gag. The main table is obviously characters and pairings.

GEASS Search. I actually can't get this to load, but that may be a temporary problem, so I'm leaving it here. Judging from how many sites linked to it, the directory seems rather extensive.

From here on, you can try Fanlistings or Webrings if you're more familiar with those. Geass Ring is currently your best bet, but I still prefer the directories. Fanlistings depend greatly on your particular fanship, so no recs there. And the best way, of course, is just to follow the best links from your favourite sites.

Happy hunting! The Geass fandom isn't too large yet, but there's still enough things to keep you happy!

Oh, and if you see a lot of crossdressing fanart, it's not just another example of wacky JFen (there's enough other examples of that, really)---'festivals where boys and girls switch places' is actually better translated as 'crossdressing festival'.
