Some SCC doujinshi scans

Hi!

Since a bunch of people said they wanted to see these comic strips I scanned them, these are scanned from the SCC guidebook and feature Code Geass and others. They are suitable for all ages.


These are short comic strips drawn by doujinshika giving 20 rules to follow at Super Comic City. These particular sketches are from the catalog put out for May 3, 2007 Day 1 of SCC. They feature fangirls and the following pairings/series: Gundam Seed/Destiny: AsuKira, Full Metal Alchemist: Roy/Ed+Ed/Ryo, and Code Geass: SuzuLulu. Just so everyone knows, Jump series were Day 2 which is why none of them are referenced. I don't know Japanese, but a friend who was fluent at one point translated a few of the panels. I'm not sure who drew them, but the kanji is on the first page.

Lol, Rules of warfae is right! Going to one of these conventions is rather like being on campaign...:DDD But they are supremely well organised in my experience and the crowd control is wonderful, meaning even a crowd phobic like me doesn't have too bad a time. ^-^b

Personally, I feel like it varies by the event. All the Comic Cities/Super Comic Cities/Spring Comic Cities I've been to have been extremely well organized and other than having to wait for hours (and the sunburn) it's not been so bad. The one time I went to Comiket though.. *shudders* I guess if you went late enough it wasn't an issue and the crowds are just overwhelming, but personally, I thought the lines were not as well organized (particularly the lines for circles) It's been a major turn off to trying Comiket again.

I love the small events, I think they're probably my favorites. I was hoping there would be some sort of Geass only one in the Fall but no such luck. ;;_;;

Wow, really? Comiket last summer was awesome for me! Maybe it's just because I always seem to fall head over heels for less popular characters that I don't have a problem getting to the circles I want to see, but I had a great time...apart from the humidity...*shudder*

I went to Winter Comiket in 2005. Actually, my problem wasn't even the lines for my circles so much as the lines for other circles that were blocking aisles so you could not get through o_O;; I was trying to make it to the movie/TV section and you just could not move because of some of the lines for hentai. (I don't begrudge guys their hentai, I just wish they weren't blocking the aisles!)

I also got shunted off to the West Halls rather than East which really sucked because by the time I made it to the East Halls and the doujinshi, there was a 1 hour line for my favorite circle. I don't mind the waiting on line, I have an ipod lol

But ever since that one experience I've stuck to the Comic Cities. They're quite large and SCC gets lots of circles and lots of fan merchandise. I got a Lelouch, CC and Suzaku drinking glass.

OMG that is perfect! *__* I was going to be in Tokyo 10/7 for Spark! I seriously might have to go. I was thinking of going to Osaka and trying I Doll, but hmmm... this needs looking into XD;

Wow, that looks like a lot of fun! Not the queueing and the crowd, but... It still amazes me that fanwork conventions like these (of that nature) are happening in Japan. Makes me wish I were able to periodically go there.

Thanks for the comic strips! I only understood a few things (eek the kanji!) still it's well-drawn and looks informative enough ^^.
