Does anyone know why Shinsen-subs has moved Code Geass to their "On Hold" category? They've just updated that this week. The only reason I could think of for them to do so is that somewhere they heard its in planning to be licensed? (I haven't heard that -- anyone?)

(For that matter, they've suddenly dropped Darker Than Black, which while not related to this comm, also confuses me for the same reason as I haven't heard anything about licensing for that one either.) -- ANSWERED! THX!

Anyone know what's up?

(Hi, I'm Ankhi, btw.)

I was only stating my preference. I really see no need for the attack on my comment. I can only think of only a handful of dubs that I've actually liked and even then, I preferred the subs to them anyway. I happen to like a lot of seiyuu and enjoy hearing their work, so that is a HUGE reason why I will usually prefer subs.

I have the same opinion! ♥

It's just that I like watching things in their original language anyway; you wouldn't see me watching... like a French movie in English ya'know. :D

Same goes with me. :) If it's a foreign film I definitely want to hear it in the original language. And CG...well I adore most (if not all) of the seiyuu for CG, so that's one series that I think I'll always prefer the sub for. I mean FukuJun IS Lelouch for me. His voice is too perfect for the role. ^_^

I never stated that anything like that. I simply said I was not a fan of dubs. Nothing more, nothing less. Dubs have improved dramatically over the years. There's no question of that. Still, I prefer Japanese seiyuu. If you said you were not fan of subs, I wouldn't even bat an eye. If that's your thing, then fine. To each his own. It's all about one's preference in the end. Alas, this is getting rather OT...

I agree on that. Everyone should be open minded to their own laugnage as well. They ARE trying after all so don't trash them! I adore things in their own languages too but it just gets too hard for me to read the subtitles and watch at the same time which is why I like english. I'm a very slow reader and its hard for me to understand anything. x_x I am open to everything, but I am not a person who prefers only one over the other because its very close minded.
