[mod post] school has taken over the internetz

small reminder for people to tag posts, since i've seen quite a number of people not tagging stuff :x

i've been planning to do this for some time, but i've never got the time ie. i was too lazy, so i'll give you guys a small notice?

sometime during this week/next week, i'll be changing the community settings to moderated posting. this is because motherland has taken over my brain i'm planning to retag the whole community. all 1235 posts, up til now. there are some tags that we can merge together, some tags that i've been reluctant to make but need to be made, and just general laziness in my place.

the only reason i'll be putting the comm onto moderated posting is to stop new posts coming in, so it won't be such an annoying task for me. by the time i'm done, i'll let everything through and just retag anything neccessary. of course, i might not change the posting stuff at all, if people think it's possible to retag the wole comm without tons of new posts.

i have no idea how long will it take, or when i'll do it, but it's most likely before school work and university essays start piling up on me this fortnight :x any comments or suggestions or screaming are welcome XDDD

But I don't think the GOOD PEOPLE OF THE CODE GEASS FANDOM (bold and uppercase, they're that important) would want their GOOD POSTS CONTRIBUTING TO THE CODE GEASS FANDOM (again) being restricted. XD ♥

Eh, for the curious, any idea on what sort of tags you're planning to add in the future? So that way those of us who might post during that moderated time can at least attempt to tag them correctly (and thus not make any extra work for you)?

hm.... well, graphics tag for anything non-icon related, or i'll make them separately if there's a lot of one category.

that's the one that always pops up for me, but the rest i think it just renaming and sorting out :x i'm not sure until i actually check everything ^__^;;

moderated posting isn't 100% tho, coz if there's too much opposition, i'm not going to do it.

Well, I really don't think people will be OPPOSED to it, per se, just find it rather...inconvenient? Eh, if that makes sense. A preemptive list or whatever of Shit Not To Do before you start tagging would mean that people could still post freely, without giving you a giant headache and a ton of work to go back and redo later.

Well, I think there's probably enough people willing to hound the forgetful people out there to tag their posts, but you don't have a co-mod who could give you a hand with this? O.o Usually pretty active communities have at least two mods, just so one person isn't stuck with all of the work.

Though I think 'tag-your-post-or-you're-dead' might be a little too harsh... *IS ALWAYS FORGETTING TO TAG HER POSTS*

there isn't much of a need to make people tag posts, since most people do, and the small number that don't get caught by either one of the mods because one of them is online all the time ~___~, it's just the tags that need tidying up ^^;;
..i think i'm the co-mod :x am i? no idea ~___~ code_geass isn't as active as some of the communities i watch, and there's not much work to do anyways ^__^ read: procrastination means BIGGG pile of work at the wrong time

hahah well... i typo-ed that anyways @___@;; all i'll do is untag it and complain in font size 6 XD (i think i tagged that fanfic post of yours... XD)

hahaha. i'll usually tell ppl to tag when i see that the post is not.

hope you are able to do it quickly, since a moderated community usually scares off potential members. i think it should be pretty easy. there were only a few oddball posts.

anyway, it's necessary since it helps new people find things that are readily available but just old.

HAHAHA >:))))) i stopped bothering to tell people to tag posts and just tagged it for them, because there wasn't a lot anyways. but these days there's been quite a lot, so i had to say :x

yeah.. i know. i'm going to try get through everything tomorrow evening i think, since i need the weekend to finish all my essays and work is going to pile next week :x the tags shouldn't be that big of a problem, but there are some i want to rename and some tags i want to remove..
if we do make it moderated posting in the end, i'm going to be editting the profile to say what we're doing, and hope we don't scare them off :x

uh huh, the chinese scanlations are coming up to mind there XDD

sure :D i might leave some left-over posts for you if i end up having no time to finish everything @__@
