Good early evening!~ The 8th DVD is out in Japan and with it, of course, comes our first glimpse at its accompanying picture drama. Child Lelouch, Nunnally and Euphie centric!
We also have a name for our special, special Emperor --> Charles di Britannia.
She became a knight for being pretty much the very first pilot of a real knightmare frame, the Ganymede. And she was so damn skilled with that crappy machine (she got nicknamed, Marianne the Lighting after all) that even the emperor himself was impressed. That’s why she, a mere commoner, could marry the Emperor himself. So sorry to spoil it on you ppl, but the fact that she was a knight was already a known fact.
Hmmm....I think it was revealed on the official site a while ago in the "History of the Knightmare Frame" section.
Still since the source wasn't the original anime I wouldn't expect everyone to know about it. The fact that she piloted a Knightmare was brought up really briefly in ep. 21 and also 25. But it was so quick I wouldn't blame anyone for missing this info.
