Cosplay-related Question

This is a long shot but... to anyone that has had experience cosplaying C.C. (or cosplaying in general) what would you use to draw the red Geass on her forehead? I need something that can wash out by the next day (so not Sharpie, sadly) but will stay on and (hopefully) won't be smeared by bangs or sweat during the day.

Any suggestions? ^^;;;;

Hmmm, I'm a dance performer but I never ran into anything that could draw designs like that. ^^; You mean, stage eye liner or something? (Which could totally work now that I think about it...)

Er...no, I mean makeup. Like, the colored stuff. Try costume or theatrical supply stores. I've seen people use a stencil-type thing to get the right shape, or you could just try to draw it on.

Hahaha that works only when the convention is only a day long. XD I still have another day of cosplaying and I don't think my other cosplays have a symbol on their forehead... ^^;; Unless I put CC on the last day, but I was hoping I wouldn't have to because I wanted to wear her on the best day. :D

I... I used a lipstick. Though it was a very quick thing and I had to be C.C only for 1 hour and a half so it was ok, but I'm a afraid for longer times it's not ok, expecially because sweat might ruin it all.
Since I'll cosplay her again on another con I was thinking of one of those... err... pencils? For the lips. this to be more precise! I still need to give it a try though, to see how long it could last.

You know, those would probably work the best now that I think about it. I know lipliner doesn't run or smear, it just fades... way better than the other way around. XD Thanks!

Actually, funny story about that. There was a girl in my convention (I call it my because its tiny and nearby anyways) and she was like "D: I'm going as Lulu and Zero from Code Geass... Anyone else going?" So of course I had to fangirl and mention that I really wanted to go as CC but I didn't know how to make the outfit, so then she talked me into going and showed me where I could get her costume. XD So... in the span of about an hour, I'm now cosplaying CC, haha. Lulu's going to be there, don't worry. <3 (Probably as Zero first since we're going to see how long she'll tolerate the helmt, haha.)

I'm planning on being C.C. at next year's cons, and I was going to use something like these (http://stageandtheatermakeup.com/bnpalette.htm) since I need to also color my eyebrows green I figured I'd buy a facepainting set. ^^ I've found with other kinds of makeup that if you put some sort os foundation under it, it will stay on better. I think I'm going to coat my face in skintoned foundation anyway, since I have freckles to hide, so I'm not anticipating any big problem with it staying on, but if it doesn't work for my test runs, I'll get a makeup sealer (http://stageandtheatermakeup.com/bnseal.htm) (and, definitely, a strong makeup remover. XD)

Oooohhh snap, I need to color my eyebrows too, lol. I was kind of hoping the bangs would cover them XDDD (I heard using foundation and then eyeshadow works... supposedly O_o;; ) Makeup sealer! I need that too. *sigh* Thank you for all your lovely suggestions and links! <3

Are you going to wear colored contacts? I'm having a hell of a time finding (prescription) contacts in bright gold. >_<

I'd love to hear more about how you're making your costume! All I have so far is the wig, but I have the bodysuit base, boots, and long-ass zippers on order. The fabric for Cheese-kun and the bell sleeves/legs and interfacing-infused collar should be easy enough to come by... I haven't found belts (or straps and buckles) that are just right yet, though. :(

Actually, for medical reasons, I can't wear contacts period. :-/ One of my eyes is legally blind (but you can't tell, hopefully XD) so they don't want me putting contacts into my good eye and accidently scratching it or something. And for the costume, its GREAT that you're making it! :D I'm completely retarded with 3-D crafts (and I can't sew for my life) so I bought the basic outfit online and if we need to make changes, my roommate's going to help me. ^^; It'd be great to see how yours turns out though, I'm sure it'll look great. :D

i'm thinking of doing a C.C cosplay and the only probem i have is the outfit. (can't sew very well ) so where did you find a outfit outline for the costume?

haha well this is pretty much if you're REALLY bad at sewing like me and you're willing to buy a pretty complete outfit. there's an awesome person on ebay i found that makes a lot of cosplay outfits. the CC one is pretty much complete (here's the one listed, if it doesn't fit you you could buy it and fix it yourself or just ask them to make a custom-sized one for u at no extra price ^^) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=130100512326&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=003 personally, i don't think the price is that bad at all for an outfit that complex ^^; i'm worried it still won't fit me perfectly (because CC has to be snug and all that) so i asked my roommate to help me if its not a perfect fit lol ^^;;

thanks. i was thinking of buying a complete outfit but i wasn't too sure if i could trust certain sellers on e-bay. If you have ordered it already and got it could you tell me, cause i would really like to know if i actually get the product when i buy it

most of the time they're trustworthy, especially if they've sold a lot of stuff and have high percentage of good reviews (i usually buy ones that have 98 or 99$.) ^^ i bought another costume online before and it came in in way better quality than i thought it was going to be in. plus it fit really well, so it usually gets to get them custom-sized (unless they charge you a different price, but most won't ^^)

the CC outfit might take another two weeks to get here, but when i try it on i'll let you know how well it works. ^___^
