Judge: Editor of Animedia: (中路 靖)
At present, a lot of animes are based off comics as the basic story. Because of this, many original ideas are getting harder and harder to get through at (anime) studios. And we hear that creative plannning skills have been getting worse. Of course, this doesn't mean that animation productions based off already existing works are necessarily inferior. But it is true that as an anime fan, you definitely want to enjoy original works too. This year, there were a number of original productions, and of all of them, 'Code Geass's high level of popularity was exceptional(<-?).
In the case of the TV-animation world, it's become a race to see who can bore the audience first. It usually involves characters with common quirks stirring up some good drama sort of plot being dished out. In most of the productions Director Taniguchi has done, the world setting gives life to the drama of things, but tiny human relationships to bearing responsibilities of a nation, opposition, complication, and characters that waver under circumstances were really interesting. This sort of production being produced should be regarded highly, (to be a benchmark) for the sake of all TV-animes to be made in future. The continuation (2nd season) has already been announced, and we would like to congratulate with all our hearts, every one of the staff, with Director Taniguchi leading them, for their distinguished production.

Thank you very much, you fif it very fast! XDXD
The judge just say what I think. There are plenty of stereotypes anime out of there & it get me bored. Yea, though still have some good anime which adapted from game or manga but I still prefer original work. For Code Geass, whether it's compare to other original works or adaptations I think it's one of the best series so far.
So just hope that there are more best series like this in the future. ~(^~^)~
