Apologies if this sort of post has already been mentioned. But I'm really curious with why people hate dislike certain characters from Code Geass.
Personally I really don't like Shirley. I could pull out the generic character card, but there are a lot of characters that can apply to this (I'm looking at you, Euphemia/Lacus clone). But to be realistic, not EVERY single character in Code Geass is going to be original. Hell, some say Lelouch is a Light rip-off. I would hate her less if she wasn't set up to be a romantic possibility for Lelouch. But I just don't like her personality type. Though, to be superficial, what the character looks like is also a factor ^^; For example, I actually don't think Euphemia is all that bad.
Basically, state the character that you hate/dislike and explain your reasoning. I'm interested in those who aren't fond of Suzaku (I'm sort of surprised why some do). It can be anything as long as it isn't incoherent character bashing.
[Edit: Dislike is a better way to put it. Doesn't mean you can't hate either xD]

Firstly, it was Shirley but, I've warmed up to her more. She can be quite annoying still.
Secondly, was Suzaku. At times you want to shoot him still. I absoutely LOVE him. I think his one of the most adroable characters in any show. ..The same with Lelouch. Though, he's not adorable, lol.
Thirdly, was C.C. I don't find her very cool.

I've never really gotten the appeal of CC. I don't particularly dislike her. It's more of an indifference, except when she's making Lulu mad, which is always amusing.

The only thing I appreciated about her is that she's not that bias and kindhearted, like when she easily accepted Suzaku to be part of the student council even if he's Japanese.
Another character I hate is Nina >_> I usually hate the moe girls with glasses type x_x And her obsession to Euphie seriously scares me x_x She's CREEPY!!!!!!
Man, Lelouch and Euphie had the worst stalkers >_> Oh I forgot about Mao x_x Mao would have been okay if he wasn't retarded enough to think of slicing C.C. to fit her in a suitcase x_x
I also dislike the emperor . . .heck, who does? O_o
I also hate Clovis . . . 'coz he's so ghey to me >_>

No, seriously, I saw her typing at her computer in the first (second?) episode, and I had this strong feeling that I wasn't going to like her.

I suppose considering them all, Villetta and Ogi are probably the ones I'd consider saying meh about. The whole relationship with them just didn't interest me, get back to the main plot plz thnx. Although I have to give Villetta points for stabbing/shooting (can't remember D:), him and for her comment about the wild sex she was forced to endure. Oh, and Rivalz kinda bugs me too. He just seems a little pointless, but then we don't know much about him either.

Lelouch can't be a Light rip-off, because that implies there's something to rip off. Light is a flat character with only two traits: one, he's a strategic genius; two, he believes that killing in the name of justice is okay. Beyond that, he's got virtually nothing-- everything he does is part of one or both of those traits. I suppose you might be able to argue a third trait, arrogance, but that doesn't exactly make him a solid character. And certainly not the first to have those traits =P
Lelouch is also a "strategic genius*," and he believes that some killing in the name of justice is okay, and he's arrogant. But he's a level up in complexity because at least he feels guilty and/or conflicted, especially when it comes to hurting friends or family.
(* How much of a strategic genius can he be when something like THREE times he basically says, "Argh, why have they used their trump card (Lancelot) just when I was about to win?! I didn't plan for that even though I knew it existed!")
*wanders back off*

The Emperor is ugly and V.V. seems like the classic "LOLZ HAI GAIZ IM HERE 2 SCREW THINGZ UP"-type character, so I don't like them either, but they don't get enough screen time for me to hate them...yet.
Don't particularly like C.C. after the way she treated Mao.
I'm kinda meh on Shirley and the rest of the Ashford gang.
The same goes for the Britannian military peeps, as well as the Black Knights.
Rather conflicted about Suzaku.
Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I like any of the characters besides Lelouch. But I love Lelouch so much that it makes up for my disinterest in the rest of the cast, apparently.

1- C.C (She's annoying to me, she's pretty but...so?)
2- Nunnally (I really can stand her, she and her "onii-sama", "onii-sama" all the time)
3- Lelouch (Mmm I really hate him in the last two episodes, before I didn't care about him but...)
4- Kallen (I don't like her because of the sex toy thing, there's a lot of merchandise about her and C.C...and the others girls? Cornelia, Villetta, Shirley, Milly, Cecile? They're awesome!!)
I love Suzaku and Shirley the most!

Suzaku is one of the bigger irks to me. I don't hate him, but I don't love him. I'm more on the dislike side, but juuuuust kinda teetering there. It's more because he seems to be able to do anything. He can de-whatever-it-is-when-you-stop-a-bomb-from-exploding (pardon my French) while the bomb is hanging off a wire and swinging, he's the best pilot for Lancelot, he saves people while chasing after another Knightmare frame, and he's Euphie's knight despite his Japanese upbringing? Geez, I thought it was a bit overkill. It worked out in the end, and Suzaku does have his downfalls that make up for this, but it just really. Really. Bothers me.
Nina. NINA FREAKS ME OUT, MY GOD GET HER AWAY. I just can't watch her on-screen anymore, especially after the last two episodes. She needs HELP, man. Get her off screen and give her a therapist, please, she's scaring me! Do it for my sanity.
Those are really the only two. besides that, I like everyone else, faults and all. The more faults and the more skewed their perspective is, the better. The only exceptions are these two.

If there was a character I had to say I hated...probably Viletta. What she did to Ougi was ass. True, their subplot was just kinda out there to fill screen time but shooting him in the stomach was kinda fail. One could ARGUE that since she didn't shoot to kill she's not THAT much of a bitch, but come on, if The da Vinci Code has taught us anything it's that stomach wounds are a horrible way to die. :P
(Also, what's funny is, I absolutely ADORE Suzaku yet do find his bizarre superhuman traits to be really off-putting. RUNNING SIDEWAYS UP A WALL??? WHAT???)

Also Nina is frightening :C
I love Shirley, though. I felt that she was one of the easier characters to relate to, had I been thrown into a situation like she was; I probably would have reacted the same as she did. I felt terrible for her after episode 14 happened. ;;

Nina - Well, she scares the hell out of me. And, you know what, I really didn't like her when she first got introduced. She just sat there, typing on her computer and something rubbed me the wrong way.
Wow, okay, maybe there's a middle school bully in my subconscious today. Whoa.
I've never really liked Euphie, either. Again, she's one of those Mary Sue characters in anime that I really don't like to see. I enjoy her when she's murderous, though.
For the record, I do love Suzaku. He's a little self-deprecating because he always as to do The Right Thing, but that's fine. It's a reasonable character flaw.

1. Shirley - I'm tired of writing down my rationale so no rationale this time around.
2. Tamaki - just shut up.
3. Kaguya - disappear, little girl. You're unrealistic.
I'll rather go hug Nina than having the abovementioned around in S2. That's right.

Shirley.Maybe not as much as I used to because I'm starting to look at her in different ways, but she's slightly inconvienent.Maybe just a little.
*goes to Mars* Orange.WHAT?WHAT IS SO SPECIAL ABOUT THE GUY?TELL ME I MUST KNOW.
Nina. She plagues my mind with her ficitional prescence.
Viletta.Because just shooting the person who took care of you even though they're an eleven is just wrong.
Er,that's it? *right*

There are characters I don't like as much as others, tho. Even so, that's not even a dislike list:
C.C. - I liked her best when I first watched the show. Not so much on the second time. I find her reactions a tad unrealistic for an old girl like her, even if she is being coquettish. And it is really uncomfy to realise Lelouch's reactions are actually more mature and intense than hers. But that's probably unintentional. And she is really cool when she wants to.
Kallen - I have nothing against her, except when she is mildly paired with Lelouch. It pains me. Really.
Lloyd -

- the ruthless rebellion leader, and the caring brother/friend.Suzaku is no different. He's made up of all sorts of layers and what you see throughout the series is not the whole picture. He's friendly, caring, kind, protective, righteous - but he's also cynical, impulsive, brash, and selfish. He's not really the epitome of the Honorable White Knight, just like Lelouch isn't merely the Menacing Black Prince. Neither of them are good people, but they're not outright horrid either. They've got good points and bad points, like anyone else. The big difference is that Lelouch acknowledges what he does wrong and how he acts in his own interests, while Suzaku needs to think of himself as good and pure-hearted in order to live with himself. But by the end, Suzaku is facing the facts and showing more of his true personality. He's such an intricate character, but the details tend to be lost and he's taken for face-value. :\
I totally agree with EVERYTHING said above.
It's not that I hate some characters, it's just that I dislike them.
my reasons aren't as good, but then again, i'm a hypocriteNina.. The way she goes on and on about the eleven's is just irritating. period.
I really disliked many characters at the beginning, but now it's just like, whatever.
I used to dislike Shirley because she was so annoying and because I was jealous of the fact that she liked Lelouch(I used to admire Lelouch), but she's okay now. I hated it even more when Lelouch used the Geass on her; after that, all the fun of seeing them interact at school went away.
I didn't care much for Kallen, but the fact that she's all 'Zero! Zero!' has made me dislike her a bit. She's so strong yet she follows someone who she knows nothing about that promises freedom. I love her character, though. I find her very cute~ :)
C.C. is 'whatever'. I don't dislike her or like her. But she is very amusing; and I support her love for Pizza Hut xD
I dislike Euphemia because of her possibly romantic relationship with Suzaku. >:l
That's a stupid reason, I know, but my inner fangirl won't stand for it. But I also dislike her optimism and naivete. I admired how she kept Lelouch's secret and the fact that she accepted him even though he was Zero.
Other than that, all the other characters don't bother me. Nina's the only one I really dislike.

But I have to say that when the story ended, I really dislike Nunnally the most. She just sits there and does nothing. And she's Lulu's sister, so I know she isn't that stupid. And she's blind, so it should be obvious to her that Lulu is Zero. If she's really that close to her Ni-san, then she would know. I don't believe this 'innocent little girl' junk thats been thrown at us repeatedly. I've thought this for a long time, and the only reason that I dislike her is that my guess is that we really haven't gotten the true Nunnally. Or at least I hope thats the case, cause it is going to suck if she just keeps pulling Lulu down.
(no subject)
okay... dislike. Nina perhaps. A little. On her excessive racist attitude. But just that. Hate? no. We need some negative characters in a story too... else it be boring. but really... it's still fictional. I don't get it when people start taking it so seriously to a point in real life. Regardless of what fandom it's just fictional series.
But that's just me.
