New items on the official website :
- Sunrise opened up a staff diary here, but there's nothing of note up right now.
- For amusement, check out how the staff came up with the Lancelot's poses here.
- They're making and selling Code Geass trading cards, on sale on January 2007 for 420 yen. Further information/pictures at this or this place.
- They've opened an official poll results page, not like we don't know the results already, here. It seems there were about 100,000 votes overall. Cripes. The 'present' to us fans looks to be a wallpaper that would be further detailed/put up on the official blog. Now? We have commentary from FukuJun, seiyuu for the reigning (and probably continuing) champion :
I'm surprised! Did he really actually get first place!? I'd always figured it'd be Orange---*cough*! Er, no, what I meant is that Code Geass has so many unique and charming characters, I didn't think the main lead would get it. Good thing I went and put that mask on...
However! Moreso than Lelouch getting the top rank, the best thing is the sheer numbers of votes we've got! With so many people watching and rooting for us, recording for each week is going to be quite something!
I'll try my best so Lelouch can go on leading Orange---I mean, the rest of the cast to first place! Please have fun watching each episode from now on! m(_ _)m
Thank you very much!
...So FukuJun actually put on a mask when voicing Zero. Don't you love how dedicated Japanese seiyuus are? Unless he was kidding.Though really, Fukuyama-san, Lelouch is pretty much the most unique and charming out of the cast
- New OP artist = Jinn, New ED artist = SunSet Swish. Don't ask me which episode we're getting those, however. (Edited thanks to

(But I am actually completely delighted that with all those votes cast he got number 5! \^-^/ And Lloyd number 6!)
Annoyed about Karen being number 2 though; she's a cipher - and Shirley featuring at all as she's....yuk *words fail me here*. When there are ladies as awesome as Conelia, Millay and Vialetta and Shirley gets votes....>:/
Sunset Swish did 'My Pace' for Bleach (I believe), which was a lovely song, so that makes me happy.

Karen's number 2...as I said before, you can't beat shower scenes. :p She's a nice character and one of the most developed to date, though. Agreed on Shirley. I like her, but Millay at least should win. The Japanese really seemed to like the unrequited love friend/osanajimi model.
Ah, they did? We can probably rest easy then.

Yay! Go Orange kun go! XD
She's a nice character and one of the most developed to date, though.
:) I was really disappointed with her development in 9! I thought it was really clichéd! It just seems in a cast of characters where there is a lot of moral ambiguity, she's really uninteresting. She is just your fanservice token 'tough girl with sad past'. There are girls WAY more interesting in Code G than her. CC is actually a good example (and the ladies whose names I gave ^-^). I've become more impressed by Euphemia, actually, and less by Karen as the story has progressed.
I have no objection to unrequited love as a theme, but Shirley is so....*words fail me*...XDDD

I'm growing more fond of Euphemia, too. She's a princess with a backbone, at the least, and that's somewhat fresh. (Despite her Lacus-analogue-ness, she's not exactly like Lacus) I'm not too fond of Kallen (or the 'angsty tough girl' type in general) myself, but she's pretty much the one with the most significant screentime at first. People do like that.

Pretty much. One dimensional. She has no edge. Nina is more interesting.
I was very impressed with Euphemia when she got in between a fighting group of combat mechs unarmed and on foot to try to stop them, and impressed again when she turned herself over to the 'terrorists' to save her subjects; she's got the spirit I like to see in a person of office. At first I thought she would be fluffy - I was very wrong. ;)
Lacus is from Gundam Seed right? I never got into that show, and I have seen many comparisons being made. I kinda think maybe I am lucky in being to able to see these characters for themselves because these parallels don't occur to me. :)

That jumping between combat mech was...pretty Lacus to me, and yes, I am one of those unlucky bastards. The turning herself over shows a different kind of guts, though, since she seems to know the possible results of that particular act. (Lacus was actually smart. She's just....er, play damsel a lot)
I know. Lucky you. :[

I just felt impressed when she stood up handed herself over, because she has such a low profile no one knew who she was, so she could have got away with keeping quiet. It showed that as an Imperial Princess she feels she has a duty to her subjects to lead from the front. :) (I somehow think Clovis would have stayed hiding at the back praying not to be noticed, if it had been him in those circumstances. Bless him! XD)
I don't expect i'll ever see Gundam Seed now; the amount of material now puts me off trying to get started and I am watching so much. :)

In the same situation, Clovis would hide and Lelouch would (if he's still a prince) wreck his brain trying to come up with a solution, but both are unlikely to stand up. XD And it's a little different from your usual Good Princess---she's not exactly defiant, just that it's the only thing she could do.
