Hello All,
I've been a looooong time lurker of this community and don't say a lot because I'm not much of an artist and haven't dabbled into any fanfiction/RP for the series.
But... I do cosplay.
Since Cornelia gets next to no love, I figured I would post up some pictures of my first attempt at her at Katsucon 2008. I also did CC in her lolita outfit, but only snagged one picture because Friday was so rushed with rehearsals. I plan to get some more CC piccies at Sakuracon next month.
CC

Only picture I took right before taking it off. My sock has monkeys on it. ^^

Please don't ask. XD I was 'adjusting' myself.

And because everyone needs teh con foodz!
Cornelia
Cornelia was very rushed. I made most of it in two days, taking directions from other people since it was being entered in the Masquerade. The cape is in the works. ~_^

What up?

My sister is sooo purdy!

Code Geass essentials from the skit.

I call it my victory dance.

As for making it. The white shirt and white skirt (underneath) is actually a loooong shirt or dress. I made that into a separate one piece because it seemed more comfortable that way.
I found two separate patterns to work with for the actual dress piece, and used my imagination a little bit on the bottom dress portion. I'm not sure what the names are off hand, but I looked at a fabric store for them. :)
The hat, I followed an online tuturial I found, and used hat stuffing (I don't know what it's called), to make the top of the hat and the brim hard.
And then the leg portion, I have thigh high boots underneath, and I wrapped leather straps around my knees where the boot covers didn't show. Boot covers, I just used my imagination again. I think there are patterns for those though.
The wig took ten hours and I'm still not entirely excited about it. I ended up buying two wigs because I didn't want to risk dyeing so much hair. I cut one for extensions and then followed Katie Bair's pigtail tutorial. It's a bit messy, but it was my first attempt by myself -- so I was happy with it. :)
I hope this helps. I'm pretty new to making things besides wigs - so I'm probably the worst person to be giving directions. XD

Them's some puffy sleeves. =P

I heard you won something on LJ? A little birdy flew by and told me yesterday. Congrats!

I DID!! *dances* Thank you! ^^ After all the mess this week I'd completely forgotten I'd even entered.

Do I have to beat someone up for joo? ;_;
(no subject)
I'd get a serious laugh out of you beating someone up dressed as Cornelia though.

Ah, I live in California! So I won't be back to the East Coast until next Katsucon :)

I'm originally from Baltimore (when I was a kid, haha), but Otakon is so expensive, and Anime Boston is so close to a major CA con. Still, I'd like to try out the latter maybe one day :D
(no subject)
My first con near the West Coast will be Sakuracon, but I want to make it out to some of the other cons too eventually.
(no subject)
Mm~ I know some were taken :D And the videos are on ACP! [I've gotta be a pimp, but if you don't have an account, go sign up! www.acparadise.com :DD] But yeah, all the east coasters were SO nice! We were really surprised, and it was a great experience :D
Yay, come play! Fanime definately is a good CA con~ you should come sometime :D It's..somewhat comparable to Katsucon, only without the crush of people in the lobby because it's spread out a little more :D
May I add you? :3

I checked it out. That's the only place that has our skit right now, so I have an account. :) You guys were great. OMGosh... so much fun. So, you don't go to Sakuracon?? Bummer...
Of course!! Please do. You're such a sweetheart. :) Thanks so much for sharing. I'm sorry I missed it. =/
(no subject)
Baww thank you :D It was a lot of fun~ And no, Sakuracon is in a weird time/place, so I haven't gotten out there... yet. :3
Yay! Thanks :D And it's all good, hopefully we'll be there again next year - but I missed your skit too! ACP is amazing, but not quite as much as being there :)

I'm going out for Scon because one my good friends came here for Otakon last summer and I decided to return the favor... since she hyped it up so much. XD I'm super excited though. I plan to do Kanoe (X/1999) and Kouchou (Saiunkoku). Is your next con Fanime?
(no subject)
Oh, fantastic! I like X, I can't wait to see your Kanoe :D And I do like Saiunkoku, but I've only seen the first episode - not enough to remember who's who ahhhh. XD
It's uh. Wondercon this weekend, actually XD But Fanime's the next 'big' one, so I'm prepping for that :D
(no subject)
Saiunkoku is excellent. I'm actually doing someone that appears in the series much later, so you probably wouldn't know her. It will still be fun. We're doing 2 big cosplay groups for both series. Have a great time this weekend! <3

Oh, fantastic! I can't wait to see photos! Photowhoring is always A+ in my book :D
Thanks! I'll certainly try :)

Huzzah for the internet and anime making the world a smaller place.

Did you do any cosplaying at Katsu?
(no subject)
Nope, I tend to be something of a chicken when it comes to cosplaying, though this time it was more that I went to the con directly from college and my outfits were at home.
