Rollopolis - I come promoting....

Hello CG community! Alright, so I'm sure everyone here knows about CG R2 and the new character who goes by the name of Rollo. Well, my friend spiritgal304 and I are already major fans of the character and he hasn't even made his debut yet. Why are we fans? Well isn't it obvious... he's cute. xD And ummmm, he has a funny name! Ha.... ha.... Okay, getting to the point; we're planning on making a website for Rollo and all his loveliness. Alright, so, what we want to know is how many Rollo fans there are out there already. Seems there are alot of haters ATM, and we seem to be the only die-hard fans. Our website (Rollopolis xD) will include everything about Rollo ALREADY KNOWN. As R2 progresses weekly from April on, we'll update from time to time. Also note this website might have, like, Rollo x Lelouch yaoi based fics/art/etc, just cause we can. ;D

Anyone who'd be willing to help us with the website graphics wise, php coding, HTML coding, hosting, etc etc, feel free to say so. We really could use some help. Anyone willing to make a fanlisting (with or without us) is welcome to affiliate. So, yes, as of this moment, this is NOT a fanlisting. If you have any interest at all, please post here and let us know. We have a general idea of all the content going to be produced on the site, but if you have other ideas, we'll gladly take em. E-mails, MSN, etc in our profiles. Or if it's more convenient for you, just post here for the time being. Thanks in advance!

You should make it a fansite-fanlisting joined thing =P

If you want, I can probably help with a bit of the php and html, and I know somebody who'd probably be willing to make the layout banner or something.

We've never managed a fanlisting before. o.o; I seriously wouldn't know where to start. xD

Any help would be appreciated~ spiritgal304 has done HTML on websites we've done in the past, but she's not experienced in php. If you're willing to work with us, you'll have to discuss that sort of thing with her. (Hopefully she'll comment here...)

As for the layout itself, it's hard to say what we'll be doing with it yet. If she did the layout design, there probably wouldn't be a need for just a banner alone. Graphics would be really handy for the other pages, though. *Scratches head*

Fanlistings are super easy, there's a script that's really easy to install and use, but I can help you with that if you want.

If you two are ok with the layout and everything, then I'll just convert it to php

The php thing is really simple, very little html is changed so spiritgal304 should be able to pick it up easily :)

Currently I'm at a loss as how the site should look. It's been about a year since I've created a layout (and not very well). So right now there is no layout or a layout design in mind at this point. Any help and input into that is very very welcomed.

Most fansites about a character are fairly small sites. A layout fitting in an 800x600 resolution, 1 navigation bar and a content section is enough really =P

Yes, go ahead and design a layout. I can't count how many times I've tried coming up with one. I seem to be having an art/layout/graphic block.

Not much on the website making so I can't help you with that, but I just wanted to chime in and say that I think a lot of people are starting to like Rollo more as more trailers are released. I know the food-sharing scene between Lulu and Rollo melted my little fangirl heart ♥ So don't feel alone! Rollo is an adorable character with lots of mysteries; I think he'll be a great character too ♥ Good luck with the site ^_^

Thanks for replying! Rollo does need more love. xD That's kinda why we're getting a headstart. I can see him being a major character, and having many fans.

And HA! Me too! Although I kept joking and saying he was feeding him a taco... o.o; And how if Lulu keeps doing that, someone's gonna crash.....

I do feel sorry for Rollo being hated on since he first showed up... :/ As for me? I just figured he probably appeared first in a CG game (pun non-intended) and am waiting to hear just what his story is before I make a choice.
