R2 Episode 4 Discussion

Hey guys, let's get some good discussion going here!

I especially want to hear everyone's thoughts on the way Lelouch manipulated Rolo (oh, and I guess that is the official spelling now). Is it not what the majority of us predicted?

So I guess it comes down to who you think is wrong/bad. I can see how if you believe the BK are wrong then Zero is the worst of them and is evil. I don't think the BK are right always. They aren't really the "good" side...I don't believe there is a a good side in this show. But I have to say I'm biased against Britannia and think the opposite about them than you do. To me Britannia is a tyrannical dictatorship that treats the Japanese (they don't even call them that they still call them Elevens...how demeaning is that?) like dirt. Even the Honorable Britannians are treated like second-class citizens for the most part. So I can't blame the Japanese for wanting to fight Britannia. I see the BK as freedom fighters for the most part. That's not including Zero though, because his motivations are totally different from the BK. Of course, even the BK have done questionable things though. They are certainly no angels. But they do what they must. They're a small group against an empire...they don't have much choice but to use guerrilla war tactics and anything else they can use to their advantage. And even though I view Britannia that way, I don't view all Britannians as evil. The show has shown various examples of really good Britannians. So it's definitely not all black and white.

LOL. Poor honorable Guilford. He was so shocked and angry when Zero pulled that stunt. Alas, this is Zero we're talking about. He probably should have expected some trick.
