I'm kind of in love with Guilford. Really. He doesn't get the respect that he deserves.

Agreed. That's why I love him. Everyone else is negative or in a badlight in one way or another. Guilford's just the true "Knight-Errant" for his Princess. It was in Episode 24/25 of Season 1 that I fell in love w/ his character with the "Yes! Your Highness!" when he fights Toudou so she can escape.
