This time last year, I had pretty hair almost down to my waist.
Sometime around October, I got sick of trying to take care of it, so I chopped most of it off. And then a month ago, it was again too long, so I cut it more.
Though, I'm thinking about growing it out again to Lelouch length. Interesting that I now judge hair length by Geass characters.
It's creepy that I really do look like him. I've got the eyes, the hair, everything. But, unfortunately, I wear glasses most of the time because I'm too lazy for contacts (except when cosplaying!), and I can't make those great ANGRY! faces he makes. XD
So, I like to say I'm an alternate-universe gender-bendered OOC Suzaku. :3
My hair was also super annoying because it was super curly. Not wavy, CURLY. >:(
It's okay, my hair is now only a tool for my cosplay. XD
Oh yay! That sounds epic! (Y hallo thar AU gender-bendered OOC Suzaku (AUGBOOCS for short :P) how would you like to come into this not suspicious looking white van? I promise you won't get RAEPED or anything. XD
Oh no worries, all I really need to make non-fail hats is a few more materials. The Cheese-kun I made was just out of stuff I had lying around. But if you really want one I could totally make one for you. It only takes about a day to make one.
My hair USED to only be a tool for cosplay. And then I just got sick of it. >.< It's just too hard to take care of. I'm a busy person. It's easier if I can just wash it and be done with it, instead of having to style it like I used to. DX
(You win for making me stay up an hour later than I should have, when I have work tomorrow, BTW. But alas, sleep before entry-level minimum-wage service-industry job calls! D:)
Oh right, shipping. I hate shipping. >:( And sadly it's too big to stick in an envelope so I would have to send it in a box. (It's like 2 feet by 1 foot.)
When will people invent teleportation devices? That would be useful.
It was actually more like 4 hours, with one of those hours looking for stuffing...
It really wasn't too hard. The main bit is made of yellow felt, and I just turned the felt side inside. You lay 2 pieces of the felt out, one on top of the other, and draw the outline. Then cut the shape out, keeping the 2 pieces together so that they're the same size. Make sure to cut larger than the lines so you can just sew along those lines. Stitch the pieces together, making sure to leave a gap to put the stuffing in. Then add the stuffing, and hand sew the gap together with yellow string.
Then you grab some black fabric (I just used an old pair of pants I had) and cut out the eyes and mouth. I attached those with fabric glue. For the arms cut out the shape, add a little bit of cloth under so they appear a bit stuffed, and attach them with fabric glue.
The hat is a bit annoying. You take poster board and made a cylinder. Then you cut the cylinder to be the height you want, and then you cut 2 wide Vs into the center of each side. Make sure to smooth the tips so they aren't too pointy. Then take your black fabric and cover it. This is the hard part since attaching it is a bit hard and requires some creative cutting. You'll just have to play around a bit. Once that is covered cut out a larger circle out of the poster board for the bas of the hat and cover that with fabric. Then attach the two pieces with fabric glue, and attach the hat to Cheese-kun with the fabric glue and you are done!
P.S - I attached the fabric to the poster board using a combo of super glue and duct tape...the duct tape was actually more helpful.
woah... sounds so tough.... lllOTL I wonder I ever can make one. lol!!! But seriously thanks for wasting such long time to type this out *__* Might try this after my exam. XDDDD
Thanks dear. sorry for spamming in your thread too. XDD;;
Don't even worry about it. It just sounds complex, it's really pretty easy. If you want I can walk you through it step by step or something when you start on it. It'll definitely be better than forking over a ton of money.
Haha, I did it when I should have been studying for my chem final :P
*___* thanks!!!! That's so kind of you to offer that! XDDDDD!!!
oh? Chem? woah... you are under science. XD *reads your profile* Mine is social science though (law) XD All the best in your exam.. (is it over?) hope you did well. XD
Of course darling. :P I'm almost done so I can probably get first batch of pics in a week or so, and then in about a month is my shoot with my Lelouch, and in the end of August is the big group shoot. XD
haha, not everything is politics related though. I learn about UK's law, and it is interesting (except for Contract Law.. last paper and I really hate it..)
ahhhh, that's so bad!!! Same thing happened to my contract.. I can understand how it feels... D=

Law seems so interesting! I would have gone into that but I get easily annoyed with politics.
Thank you! I still have about a week, but I had a terrible teacher and didn't learn anything. At least physics is better...
